A Short Sadhana Of The Glorious Haryagirva Yab-Yum

Taking Refuge and Generating Bodhichitta I go for refuge to the Triple Gem. I shall liberate all sentient beings and lead them to Enlightenment. I shall develop purely the enlightening mind of Bodhicitta.
[3x]

Instant Self-generation as Haryagirva Yab-Yum Instantly I arise in the bodily form of glorious Haryagirva Yab-Yum. Inviting the Field for Accumulating Merit Light-rays emanate from a red HRIH h at my heart and bring forth from their natural abodes glorious Guru Haryagirva and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The light-rays then return into my heart. Prostration to the Merit Field I bow to your lotus feet, O holder of the vajra, my jewel-like Guru, by whose kindness I instantly attain a state of great bliss. I prostrate to you, O Glorious Haryagirva, you who are the essence of the compassion of all victorious Buddhas, appearing as wrathful Chenrezig, tamer of those difficult to subdue. Presenting Outer Offerings to the Merit Field

Transforming ordinary bardo into the Sambhogakaya

Within emptiness, my consciousness arises as a blue HUM I syllable. This transforms into a blue vajra marked by a blue HUM I. Rays of light and a mala of light come forth from the HUM I. They transform into the Vajra ground, the Vajra fence, the Vajra tent, and the Vajra canopy, together with a mountain of flames. OM VAJRA RACHA RACHA HUM In the center of the protection wheel, a PAM P syllable transforms into a red eight-petalled lotus. On top of the lotus, a RAM R syllable transforms into a sun-disc. On top of these my consciousness appears as a red HRIH h syllable. This transforms into a red lotus marked by red HRIH h syllable. At the same time, in front of the HRIH, a red BAM b syllable transforms into a white skull-cup, marked by a red BAM syllable. The HRIH h and BAM b syllables embrace. Light from the HRIH h and BAM b radiates in all directions, serving the two purposes of purifying all suffering beings and making offerings delighting all the Buddhas. The light returns as the hand implements of the Yab-Yum deity.
Transforming ordinary rebirth into the Nirmanakaya

Generating the Protection wheel

From a HRIH h, I arise as Bhagavan Haryagirva, with a beautiful ruby-red colour. Magnificent bright-red lights shine forth from my body. I have one face and three eyes which flash like lightning. I have a wrathful expression. My eyebrows and moustache are the colour of red sindhura powder. I blaze like the fire at the end of the eon. My cheeks are marked by a blood-red colour. My mouth is open, showing my fangs. My tongue is rolled back and I utter the sound PHEM. I hold a red lotus in my right hand and a skull-cup filled with blood in my left hand. I wear snakes of five colours: white, yellow, red, blue and green. Five skulls ornament my crown. I wear silk garments, and wrathful deity garments such as an elephant skin on my back and a tiger skin on my lower body. I stand with my right leg bent and the left outstretched. I embrace my Yum, blue Vajrayogini. She wears five mudra ornaments. She has one face and two arms. She holds a curved knife in her right hand and a skull-cup filled with blood in her left hand. She has a wrathful expression. Her hair is loose and standing on end. Her right leg is outstretched and her bent left leg is tucked behind my hip. The embracing Yab-Yum generates the union of bliss and emptiness. Their crowns are marked by OM , Vajra body. Their throats are marked by AH A, Vajra speech. Their hearts are marked by HUM I, Vajra mind. Light shines forth from the HUMs I and invites Glorious Haryagirva Yab-Yum. They appear in front of me, surrounded by all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. SAMAYA DZA HUM

Requesting and Receiving the Initiation Tathagatha Buddha Yab-Yums, I request you to confer the empowerment upon me. In response to my request, they confer the nectar of the empowerment of great bliss and emptiness. In this way, my entire body becomes filled with nectar, and my unwholesome karma is purified. Making the Secret and Suchness Offerings to Oneself as Glorious Shri Haryagirva Yab-Yum

Haryagirva Yab-Yum and the small bodhichitta inside the lotus of the Yum, transform into the five Dhyani Buddha Yab-Yums. The Dhyani Buddha Yab-Yums experience the innate wisdom of bliss and emptiness. Offering Praise to Oneself as Glorious Haryagirva Yab-Yum HRIH Naturally arisen from the state of Dharmakaya, Subduer of evil forces and king of all wrathful deities, You have the power to annihilate obstructions and mental hindrances. I prostrate to you, Bhagavan Haryagirva. Vajrayogini, you offer uncontaminated innate great bliss to Haryagirva. You are the wrathful dakini. You are the source of mahasiddhis. I prostrate to you, Trode shvarivara, the great Yum. I request you to eliminate all obstacles to our Dharma practice. I request you to eliminate the forces of maras. I request you to destroy the roots of all obstacles and delusions And to bestow on us actions to realize the three Kayas of a Buddha. Visualisation for Mantra Yoga At Haryagirva's heart, I visualize a red lotus with eight petals. On top of the lotus, I visualize a sun-disc. On top of these is a red HRIH h syllable, surrounded by the mantra of Haryagirva, like the ring of light from the flame of an oil lamp. At Vajrayogini's heart, I visualize a sun-disc. On top of the sun-disc, I visualize a red BAM b syllable surrounded by the mantra of the Yum, like the ring of light from the flame of an oil lamp. Light shines forth from the mantras and makes offerings to all Buddhas. The light heals all beings and returns to the hearts of the Yab-Yum.

Instant Self-generation as Glorious Shri Haryagirva

While in a state of emptiness, I instantly appear as Bhagvan Haryagirva. Dedication By the virtue arising from my effort in this method, and by my pure selfless wish, may all countless suffering beings never be parted from, but always be cared for, in rebirth after rebirth, by Bhagavan Haryagirva and Vajrayogini Yab-Yum. Prayer of Auspiciousness
[Ring bell at the end of each line]

May there be the auspiciousness of the root and lineage Gurus, May there be the auspiciousness of the Yidam deities and three Jewels of refuge, May there be the auspiciousness of the dakas, dakinis and Dharma protectors, May there especially be the auspiciousness of the the three sacred ornament wheels of the great Yidam Haryagirva and Vajrayogini Yab-Yum.
