Introduction
Technology Development is not one-size fits all. There are many ability levels that span from novice to expert. Trying to meet all their needs in one professional development is unreasonable. To remedy this, we have designed this professional development to meet in their ability groups. Here, teachers will be surrounded by like-minded people that are struggling with the same things they are. Their presentations will look to meet them at their level and stretch them a little further.

Description of Sections
This professional development has been divided into ability groups. Teachers will take the pre-assessment to see how successful they are at incorporating technology into their classrooms. Based on this evaluation, they will be grouped into beginning, intermediate, and advanced sections. Each section will focus on developing the skills of that group. Their formats are similar, but the activities and presentations are geared toward expanding the teachers current technology use.

Beginners- Tech Starters

This group is for teachers with little to no technology experience. Their classrooms look very traditional and rely mainly on textbooks and white boards to get things done. Teachers in this ability may or may not be comfortable with basic tasks such as checking their e-mail, typing a document, or finding information online. The goal of this professional development is to expose them to these ideas and show them how to use it in their classrooms. We will also strive to alleviate any fears around technology by helping/providing troubleshooting advice and documents to them. Part of their homework will be to get their students using computers in at least one lesson a week. Administrators will be responsible for supporting and evaluating this goal.

Intermediate- New Ideas

This group is for teachers that are comfortable with technology in their own lives, but are uncertain how to use it in their classrooms. Their classrooms look traditional, however, the students may use computers for researching or gathering information. Teachers in this group will know the basic functions of computers. They may or may not own a smart phone or tablet computer. The goal of this professional development is to equip these teachers to use technology in a more integrated manner. We will focus on everyday things that students can be doing with computers and other technology. We will also discuss the management of these devices and students content. Administrators will be responsible for assisting with troubleshooting that comes along with using new ideas. They will hold teachers accountable for integrating technology, but also be flexible to know its a learning process and things go wrong.

Advanced- Boundary Testers

This group is designed for teachers that are experts at using technology. Given the tools, their classrooms would use technology for the majority of the day. These teachers often are the go-to people for the building. They have a natural knack for figuring out issues and fixing problems. The goal of this professional development is to stretch these teachers to integrate technology into all aspects of their teaching. Using Project Based Learning these teachers will craft lessons that span several curriculum areas, standards, and days of instruction. They will strive to increase engagement and understanding through their own projects. Administrators will have to be aware that for this group, flexibility is key. These teachers will likely be adjusting their schedules to accommodate these projects. Their classrooms will look less structured, but done right, much learning will take place. Administrators should support these teachers in their endeavor and evaluate them based on student knowledge of the topic.
