In 2011, we pursued with our vision to lead the business sectors efforts where concrete core business solutions are actually utilized to address societal as well as environmental problems. In the last fiscal year, we have achieved substantial results. To truly effect collective impact, we saw the need to ensure that every project must have a common goal, a cohesive strategy, and a uniform parameter that synchronizes all the efforts of the business sector and other development stakeholders. Certainly, the sum is greater than the parts. Together, let's build the big solutions to the big challenges.

The event was held last 1416 November , 2011 at Pendik, Istanbul, and a city in the Asian side Turkey. The training was stretched in 3days inside the beautiful Divan Asia Hotel
First day, was a general session with agenda about the business overview, GE support and etools, brief commercial training and an inspiring Spirit and Life talk from Mr. The information and knowledge shared by Todd Smith GE Compliance Leader. A nice GE was something to work on forward. Its group picture was also arranged at the hotel something that could start another leg in lobby, and was distributed with the our careers in Water and Waste Water, and certi icate and soft copies of the we wish that everyone in PROTEC team would be able to experience the same in the presentation. future. Protecs Team also had important Meengs with our acve Business Partners Second day, was divided into four simultaneous sessions. PROTECs team
PROTEC team who attended the training includes Mohamed Badran, Mostafa Esmail, and Allan Demape. The whole experience was really memorable for all of us, as it took us to new places, gave us experience dealing with new people from another part of the world, nice cool weather we seldom experience in Qatar, and to value time as much as we could.
During our visit to the workshops we give them some remarks for the piping assembly and the welding; also we tried the operation of some units and checked the parts.
Kumsan
We discussed about our business in Qatar and how can we increase the selling of cranes. We spoke about the competition of the crane manufacturers and suppliers in Qatar so we have to discuss case by case for each order to know how we can get it.
All our inquiry to them should be revised and investigated. They can support us with competitive prices in Ro units and system

E-Cell* Electro De-ionization System from GE Water & Process Technologies
Electro deionization (EDI) is used in the production of deionized and ultrapure water required in industrial applications like boiler feed, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor manufacturing etc. EDI is being widely preferred over the conventional ion exchange systems as they provide continuous operation, higher levels of demineralization, constant stable product quality and do not require any regeneration chemicals. Depending on the feed water characteristics, the EDI is used as shown in igure, following an initial pretreatment step to remove suspended solids and organics and an initial demineralization with reverse osmosis to remove ionic impurities, particles and high molecular weight organics. The EDI will be the inal demineralization step to remove residual ionic and ionizable impurities (like sulfates, nitrates, carbonates or Ca and Magnesium ions). The feed water characteristics to the EDI must be absolute. Physical contamination (metal shavings, dust, pollen, debris) and chemical contamination (oxidizers like chlorine, iron, manganese etc) must be prevented. Feed water hardness and CO2 content is also to be monitored. A proper projection on the feed water to EDI system is thus required.
Typical EDI systems can produce product water of >16 MOhmcm resistivity and offer recovery of about 95% depending on feed water quality. EDI systems generally achieve major cost reductions by eliminating regeneration chemicals, neutralization systems and hazardous waste streams. They also help achieve signi icant space savings. There are currently more than 100,000 gpm installed capacity of EDI systems by GEWPT.
