Likes to be involved, committed. Risk-taking, not afraid of changes, sometimes make wrong decisions. Is focused on feelings and emotions, dont like to stop for reflection. Forget about taking conclusions. Is bored of theoretic and abstract part of learning and acting. Extravert, like to cooperate with people, usually impatient, like to be in the center. Preferred methods and tools: practical exercises, simulations, case studies, problem solving exercises, group discussions, role playing. Trainer should be an authority and example for him

Learn by experiences, observation and reflection. Prefer to observe an exercise rather than taking part in it. Humanist. Big imagination. Is interested in people and their emotions. Would be good HR, advisor, consultant. Is able to listen to others and collect information. However is not very outgoing and talkative. An introvert type. Needs a time to thing over the problem and analyze: what? Where? How? He doesnt like to work with short deadlines and under time pressure. Accurate, sensible, doesnt come into conclusion too Fast. Sometimes is to careful and let others to make decisions and to achieve results. Preferred methods and tools:: brainstorm, individual work (paper-pencil), group discussions; Trainer should be en expert for him. A guide who inspire to thinking, setting write questions. Learns through reflection, conclusions and generalization. An officer type. Not very creative, but rational and objective. Introvert. Likes reading, gaining wide perspective. Always ask where to get more information. Always look for good conclusions. What was wrong? What was Wright? Ask many questions. Wants to know the reasons. He like to thing abstractly and logically. Needs much time to assimilate a knowledge and find mutual connections between facto and situations. Sometimes these inner doubts leads him to nowhere. Is not interested in practical usage of knowledge. Is disciplined, likes order and clear goals. Doesnt tolerate intuition. Strong feeling about what should be done. Preferred methods and tools:: case studies, presentations, handouts. Trainer should be a kind of lector. Provide concrete information, set exact goals.

Pragmatist o Learns by gaining a knowledge and put into practice. Looks for important information- only these which can be useful in practice. Looks for tips & tricks. If training is not practical- He will be highly disappointed. use it or lose it; o Needs to touch, try and exercise everything. o Dont play with emotions, is not emphatic at all. Very practical, pragmatic, realistic. Prefers to work with problems rather than with people. Focused on tasks. Inpatient. o Is not interested in theory. Has got a tendency to use the first, casual solution o Preferred methods and tools: planning how to use the knowledge in the future, goals settings, exercise during the training and summarizes, problem solving, Project work in small teams. o Trainer should be his coach. Should create proper learning environment and help in individual learning. It is good to develop all the positive characteristics from all the styles and diversify training styles. But remember: some of the people you can satisfy rarely, others- always. But never everyone all the time (L.Rae)
