A. Summary of the Lesson Plan: (2 sentences) This social studies lesson is designed for 1 st grade students to learn about consumers and producers. This is day 2 of this lesson and uses the packet on producers and consumers. B. E. Procedure: (numbered steps) 1. Go over the definitions of consumers: someone who buys and uses goods. Producers: Someone who makes or grows something 2. Pass out packets to students. Their is one at the end of this lesson 3. Go over packets with whole group. Telling them they will be able to fill it out after we go over it.

4. Now is time for individual work. Give them time to complete their packets. Walking around making sure they know what they are doing. 5. CLOSURE: Go back as whole group and get their definitions of consumer and producer. F. Assessment: (bullet points) What will you use to measure student understanding? I will use the packets to measure their understanding of the concept. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. I will know they understood the concept on how well they did on the packet. G. Reflection: (answers to assignment specific questions) 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? The part that will be easiest to go over is the definitions of consumer and producer. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? The most challenging to teach is hoping they understand how to use the packet. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? I would extend this lesson by giving them examples of consumers and producers and having them tell me which is which. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? The students who don't understand the concepts will go into small group or whisper to their partner. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change?
