Dear Friends and Family, As you may or may not know, for the past four years I have

been rigorously attending Palomar College and studying in its art program. My hope is to eventually graduate with an Associates degree in art and become a professional illustrator. While studying there, I got involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and joined the leadership team. Basically, we lead bible studies on and off campus and tell people about the word of God. Its pretty legit! Ive very much enjoyed being a part of InterVarsity and creating an open and safe environment for all people to come to and learn about God. I have reached out to people who have been hurt, as well as people who are struggling to recover. I have even sat down, and talked with people who honestly believed that they were not going to live to see the next day. My heart breaks for these people, and its one thing to tell them about the love of Jesus Christ, but to show them His love is another. And that is why I truly believe God has called me to be a part of the Los Angeles Urban Project. (LAUP) LAUP is a six-week summer trip where I get the privilege to work on site serving the homeless, children and youth, women escaping prostitution, single mothers and recent immigrants. The whole program partners with established churches, ministries, and non-profit organizations that work to help these people by providing essential needs such as food, clothing, and shelter. But more importantly, they help in building long-lasting results such as skills training for jobs, housing advocacy, and community organizing. We will also be learning about immigration from both sides of the border and to better understand these issues well be living on a simple lifestyle, much like these people have to do. The reason I am writing you this, is that I will like to ask of you to help out in sending me on this trip. If you would like to give prayer support, please pray that God will fully support the funds that I need to go on this trip, and that He would use and work through me while I am there.
