22 Future Continuous: USE To describe an action or event that will be in progress at some time in the future: I'll be waiting at the station when you arrive. I'll be watching football at six. To describe an activity or state that covers the whole of a future time period: I'll be watching television all evening. I'll be living in London for the next few weeks. To describe a future event which has already been arranged or is part of a regular routine: I'll be seeing him tomorrow I'll give him your note. I'll be working at home tomorrow you can call me there.
Note: going to or Present Continuous + time word can frequently be used instead of the future continuous. The main difference between the three is that going to and Present Continuous + time word usually refer to planned or intentional futures: I'm going to see her tomorrow we arranged it last week. I'm seeing her tomorrow, to talk about the new contract. and the Future Continuous is less intentional: I'll be seeing her tomorrow at the weekly sales conference; I'll talk to her about it then. Future Continuous is sometimes used to refer to the Present, when we are guessing about what people are doing: Peter and Tom will be lying on the beach in Corfu at the moment. I bet they'll be having a good time now that it's hot. They'll probably be staying at an expensive hotel somewhere.
