1 Construction System The construction system is designed to consider the following: a) Can be used all year (with respect to tidal water level); b) Meet the requirements of the structure that is: strong, rigid and stable ; c) The use of domestically materials as much as possible; d) Able to work by domestic contractors; e) The account does not require special equipment which must be imported fr om abroad; f) Maintenance costs as little as possible; g) Consider the economic aspects; h) Life time of structure; 2.2 Basic Port Facilities Basic port facilities of the unloading coal jetty are as follow: a) Jetty (Platform) 1 unit To serve berthing of coal barge vessel with capacity of 5.000 DWT Unloading by means of dump truck and excavator Draft of vessel 3.9 meters Dimensions 8x31 m concrete deck supported by Steel Pipe Piles (SPP) with marine coating and cathodic protection Equipped with fenders and bollards b) Breasting Dolphin 2 units To assist in berthing of coal barge vessel with capacity of 5.000 DWT Keep the vessel from pressing against the pier structure. Serve as mooring points to restrict the longitudinal movement of the berthing ve ssel. Dimensions @ 6x7m concrete block supported by Steel Pipe Piles (SPP) with marine coating and cathodic protection Equipped with fenders, bollards, access ladder and lighting pole c) Mooring Dolphin 2 units To resist the mooring pull from coal barge vessel 5.000 DWT Dimensions @ 4x4 m concrete block supported Steel Pipe Piles (SPP) with marine c oating and cathodic protection Equipped with bollards, access ladder and lighting pole d) Catwalk To connect Jetty, Breasting and Mooring Dolphin Foundation concrete block supported by Steel Pipe Piles (SPP) with marine coatin g and cathodic protection Upper structure with wooden deck and IWF Steel Girder. e) Trestle Access To connect access from on land to barge jetty Transport by means of dump truck and excavator Dimensions 4.5x36 m concrete deck supported by Steel Pipe Piles (SPP) with marin e coating and cathodic protection Equipped with guard rail, lighting pole and abutment. f) Construction Material Foundation : Steel Pipe Pile (SPP), ASTM A-252 Grade 2 Upper Structure : Concrete Grade C 30 with f c = 30 Mpa
