This document outlines the requirements to be authorized as an Auditor or Lead Auditor for technical airworthiness management.
To be an Auditor, one must complete external auditor training, have 3 years of relevant engineering experience, or complete continuation training and on-the-job training. They must also demonstrate knowledge of applicable regulations and perform 5 days of auditing experience under training.
To be a Lead Auditor, one must already be an Auditor and complete external lead auditor training. They must also demonstrate extensive knowledge of aviation operations and regulations and perform 5 days of lead auditing experience under training.

AUDITOR 1. To be eligible for authorisation as an Auditor, a person shall meet all of the following requirements: a. Either: (1). Successful completion of an External (Lead) Auditor training course conducted by a RMAF-DTA recognised organisation. OR (2). Successful completion of a period of informal audit training as deemed appropriate by the SDE for the auditing task to be performed by the Sponsor AEO. b. Either: (1). A minimum of three years experience in aerospace engineering relevant to the auditing task to be performed by the Sponsor AEO. OR (2). Completion of a period of Continuation Training (CT) and On-The-Job training (OJT) as deemed appropriate by the SDE. c. Satisfactory knowledge of regulations applicable to the auditing task to be performed as determined by the SDE. d. Satisfactory performance of at least 5 days auditing experience (including preparation) as an auditor under training. LEAD AUDITOR 1. To be eligible for authorisation as a Lead Auditor, a person shall already be appointed as an auditor in accordance with paragraph 2 above, and meet both the following additional requirements: a. Successful completion of an External (Lead) Auditor training course conducted by a RMAF-DTA recognised organisation. b. A demonstrated high level of knowledge in RMAF aviation operations and associated airworthiness regulation requirements. c. Satisfactory performance of at least 5 days auditing experience (including preparation) as a lead auditor under training.
