Thebarchartillustrateshowmanymalesandfemaleshavestudiedinfulltimeandparttime educationinthefollowingyears:1970to1971,1980to1981and1990to1991. Itisclearthatinallthreetimeperiodsmorepeopleofbothsexeswereinvolvedinparttime educationthanfulltime.Overallthenumberofmeninfulltimeeducationrosefrom approximatly100thousandto200thousand,whereasthenumberofmeninparttime educationwaslowerintheearlyninetiesthantwentyyearsearlier.

Asfaraswomenareconcerned,thenumbersincreasedinbothsectorsofeducation.The numberofparttimefemalestudentsincreaseddramaticallyfrom700thousandto1.2million inthetwentyyearperiod.Theamountofwomeninfulltimeeducationwentupmore graduallyfrom100thousandin1971tojustover200thousandin1991.Thiswassimilarthe increaseforfulltimemalestudents.

Tosumup,thenumberofwomeninbothsectorsincreasedsignificantlywhileitseemsthat therateofmenenteringparttimeeducationdecreasedalittleandwasfluctuating.
