2.0 About the test Sidek Personality Inventory (SPI) has been created by Dr.

Sidek Mohd Noah to measure one's personality. You have to complete 160 questions which are provided for you in the test. Those questions are just some random and simple questions, and what matter the most while answering those questions is your honesty. There are about 16 compartments consist in this test which describe you one's personality. According to Dr. Sidek Mohd Noah, personality is a dynamic organization of psychophysical system within an individual that will determine one's adaptation to the environment. Personality is flexible, expand, and inflate according to the surrounding which it adapts to. Meanwhile, Psychophysical system is the habit, attitude, values, beliefs and emotional states which are possessed through the way someone acts and presents in public. Based on this statement, personality is the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character. Those qualities make someone interesting and different from others. I choose this test because I believe that it will help me to help me to be a better person. I think I need to review everything about myself because, I need something fresh and new to be a successful person. Thus, SPI is a good alternative for me to review myself since it is one of the best solutions for those who want know themselves better and to fix their weakness in order to be a better person. 3.0 What do you find out from the test I have completed the test, which means I have answered all the 160 questions provided in the test. After I have completed the test, I have been consulted by a responsible counsellor in examining and discussing all the scores obtained. Then, they are translated into 16 different traits which are aggressive, analytical, autonomy, dependant, extrovert, introvert, variation, endurance, self-critic, controlling, helping support, structured, achievement and deceit. Through the SPI, I had scored moderately for the first trait which is aggressive which defined me as an assertive and firm person. In most cases, I usually would claim my right, but at the same time taking care of other people's feeling and heart. For the second trait which is analytical, my score was 7 which is a moderate score. The moderate score symbolized me as a person with moderate analytical ability who has

less interest in doing research. The next trait is autonomy in which I had scored a high mark which showed that I am the type of person who prefers absolute

independence in taking actions and autonomy in controlling and determining my daily activities. Other than that, for the forth trait which is dependant, the SPI has proved me as a person who is not fully independent, but, at the same time, I am not the type of person who has to rely fully on others to survive. The next one is extrovert, one of the traits that I scored highly, which symbolized me as a person who loves to socialize with people. I like to interact, surrounded by many people and feel uncomfortable being alone. For Intellectuality, my score was high and the score defined me as a person who loves to involve in activities that challenge your knowledge and feel content to learn something new. Moving on, the next trait, the seventh trait is called introvert which measured my involvement with others. I had scored moderately for this trait which explained me as a person with moderate socializing level. This situation means that I will only get involve with others when I want and sometimes, I prefer to be alone. The eighth trait is variety. For this trait, I got a moderate score which made me as a person who is able to adapt with new situation, but sometimes I will be having a problem to adapt with new surroundings. It showed that I am the type of person who is not very flexible. Next, the trait is called endurance which defined me as a person who has high endurance. I possess physical, mental and emotional endurance and able to finish all tasks given and never give up. I am also highly motivated in reaching my goals. Meanwhile, for the tenth trait which is self critic, my score was high too. And this score showed that I am a problematic individual. This is because I tend to critic, degrade and not to believe in myself. For the controlling trait, my score was 9, also a high score which means that I love to be a leader. I might be a good leader, however, I cannot be lead by others. This situation makes me prefer to do something which will make me as a leader. The next trait is support, and this time, I scored a very low score for this trait. This condition symbolized me as a person who does not like to be emotionally dependant on others. Next is structure, and I got a high score for this trait. Getting a high score for structure had described myself as a person who

prefers things that are structured, and detail in nature. I love to get involve in works that are neat and structured. The next trait, which is the number 15 is achievement. For this trait, my score was 10 which is the maximum score. Getting this score for this trait showed that I am a highly motivated person and love to compete with others in doing anything. The last one which is the sixteenth trait is called deceit. For this trait, my score was 4 which is very low. Having a low score for this trait showed that I was honest in answering all the questions given in this personality test. Indirectly, the honesty had proved that all the traits, levels and results obtained from this test are accurate and really tell the real me. They showed who I am and my personality. For all the results obtained from this SPI or Sidek Personality Inventory, I believed that they are accurate and amazingly described my personality. The most important thing in completing this test is honesty while answering all the questions given. This is because, it will help a lot in giving you accurate results which indirectly will help you to know yourself better. 4.0 Research and changes Through my researches and readings, I have found out few solutions in order for me to become a better person. There are some traits that need to be changed for my own betterment. This is because, through my findings, I found out that I am having problem with few traits and, the most problematic one is the self critic. According to a dictionaryi, self critic is defined as 'an act to find fault with one's own actions, motives, etc'. Surprisingly, my score for this trait is quite high, which means that I always look down on my own abilities. Sometimes, I tend to degrade my own capabilities and this situation makes my self-esteem to be lowered down or decreased gradually. Thus, I have did some researches to find out the most effective solution to lower down my 'self critic'. In an article entitled 'Psychological Help : Methods for Changing our Thoughts, Attitudes, Self-Concepts, Motivation, Values, and Expectations', I have been

exposed to a few steps in order to lower down my self-critic which indirectly will uplift my self esteem. Firstly, we have to change my self-concept and build self-esteem. To accomplish this first step, is by having some private time where we can talk to ourselves or praise ourselves. For example, I could say something like, 'I am beautiful and I know that today is going to be great' or maybe this, 'Failure in life is a lesson for me to be successful. Brace yourself!'. Those are the example of monologues that can be used to change our self-concept and build self-esteem. Those monologues are proved to be successful to help us to encounter the destructive self-critics that we tend to give to ourselves The next step is by Increasing Self Awareness. This is a vital step because, obviously we cannot control ourselves when we do not have the awareness about ourselves. "To Thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." Shakespeare, Hamlet Through this statement,

St. Thomas quoted: "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."
