Whats happening in the Library

The library is going strong and full of energy! We are averaging forty-ve nios for our older kids library and 25-30 kids and moms for our younger kids session. At times I feel a little overwhelmed, but God reminds me that the numbers are a blessing! Every person who comes to library is hearing the Gospel and of the love that God has for them! How amazing! Both groups of kids are currently working on songs, poems, and crafts to celebrate mothers day. We are excited to share what the kids have been learning and celebrate mothers all at one time! The big kids are currently focusing on reading before and after the library program begins. We have challenged them to read a certain amount of books. The incentive: a trip to the Historic Park in Guayaquil! They have eagerly picked up any and every book possible in order to achieve this goal! Its wonderful to see their excitement. We will be taking them to Guayaquil in June to celebrate their accomplishments.

Mothers Day Programs
We will be celebrating Mothers Day with the library kids and their mothers May 16 and May 18. The kids will perform songs and poems and present their mothers with a craft. Please pray for a good turn out for this outreach activity. We are praying for deeper relationships with the families of all of our library kids.

Worship Conference
On May 23, Joey and Jennifer Williams, our worship pastor from Longview Point and his wife, will be arriving in Babahoyo. Joey will be leading a conference on scripturally-centered worship in the church. Please pray for safe travels and good attendance at the conference.

ecently, we took a trip to visit fellow missionaries in Quito. Our friends, Jim and Suzy Olson, and their daughter Kaia (pictures above) hosted us for 3 days and nights. They took great care of us! Suzy cooked amazing meals! The fellowship, fresh air, and nature was just what we needed. We spent some time visiting their ministry, Hacienda el Refugio, a camp in the mountains. It was quite cold! At

least for people used to living in 90+ degree heat! After our stay with the Olsens, we traveled to stay with Alan and Fabi Gordon, fellow missionaries with Global. We were also able to visit fellow missionaries who studied with us in language school. The whole trip was a denite blessing from God. We were able to see and hear about all the amazing things He is doing ALL OVER Ecuador!

Stateside Visit
We will be in Chicagoland, Hernando, and the Mississippi Delta May 29-June 19. We will be back home to celebrate the wedding of Johns brother Davis and his ance Emily! Most of our visit will be spending time with family, but John will be preaching at Longview Point on June 9 and Lake Washington Baptist Church on June 16. We look forward to seeing you!
