• The Kineto UNC is designed to evolve with the GAN
standard
• Motorola, FT/Orange, Telecom Italia Mobile and
Kineto Wireless have been instrumental in creating a
new Work Item in 3GPP GERAN for the next-
generation GAN standard
• This is to support 3G CS/PS over the GAN Up interface
• 3GPP GERAN approved the GAN Enhancement Work
Item on November 17, 2006
