Supervisor
Scheduling is perhaps one of the most important facets of computer-assisted process management. Many of the problems inherent with paper-based scheduling systems are solved with the automatic, timesaving features of the LANTIS Supervisor option. Prompt quality care is the key to patient satisfaction. Keeping on schedule requires carefully planning appointments, accurately estimating visit durations, and quickly reacting to the changes that inevitably occur. Schedules for staff, patients, and other resources can be accessed from any LANTIS workstation to review notes and patient status information in real time. Wave scheduling automates the scheduling of multiple appointments in virtually any pattern. Notification is immediately provided in the event of a conflict, and options for resolution are displayed. The LANTIS Supervisor option includes a number of timesaving features including sophisticated find features that enable the user to quickly locate a patients appointment on the schedule, or identify an open appointment or a block of appointments based on the specified criteria. The LANTIS Supervisor module automates many management processes. Integrated procedure code capture helps track departmental activities as a result of caregiving rather than as an extra step. The LANTIS schedule provides an up-tothe-minute account of department activity, reporting the number of completed appointments, cancellations, no-shows, and unresolved appointments for any day or date range. Using the LANTIS Multiple Department Extension option with the LANTIS Supervisor allows multiple departments or clinics to maintain separate schedules and procedure codes, yet share a common patient database for enterprise-wide management and reporting. The LANTIS Supervisor module is an active administration tool that helps optimize department time and resources by centralizing department scheduling and automating schedule administration.

Transcriber
The LANTIS Transcriber module takes any department one step closer to becoming paperless by using Microsoft Word processing software. Together with this software, patient documentation is managed integrally within the EMR. From Consultations and History and Physical to On Treatment Notes and Follow Up, all patient documents can be stored in LANTIS. Create multiple templates for each document type and merge information, such as Patient ID number, Referring Physician, Diagnosis, etc., that is stored in LANTIS. When a template is assigned to a patient, the appropriate information from LANTIS is automatically entered into the document. Use the on-site feature of LANTIS Transcriber to directly transcribe documents into the LANTIS application. Or use a remote transcription service by installing the off-site feature on the transcriptionist workstation. Documents transcribed remotely are easily batched and exported to LANTIS for import using the document import feature. When these documents are imported, they are automatically saved as part of the patients EMR with a status of Pending. Changing the status of each document is easy as it flows through the department, with choices such as Dictation Required or Transcription Required to Pending or Approved. Transcription edit and approval processes are controlled by the security privileges of the logged-in user.
Clinical Assessments
Assessment of patient status before, during, and after treatment is vital for assuring optimal patient care and for refining clinical pathways. Use the LANTIS Clinical Assessments option to assign quantitative or standardized values to key assessment indicators, which can then be used for gauging patient status and reporting outcomes. Patient information and assessments are organized in a series of electronic forms that can be customized. Everything from vital sign measurements to pain ratings, once recorded in the system, are made instantly available for viewing and comparison at any workstation. This ensures that all caregivers on a multidisciplinary team can immediately review a patients status by simply opening the EMR. The LANTIS database is populated with hundreds of assessment indicators that can be used to create custom electronic assessment forms for specific regimens, disease types, or symptom management. A patients performance status, lab values, pain rating, and other assessment items can be viewed at a glance. Alarms and warnings can be set to flag laboratory values and assessment levels that are out of the normal range.
