Intercede for your Leaders.

Posted on September 14, 2012 Praying for the leaders of your country is the only effective mechanism that can bring about a government that will be responsive and genuinely cater for the yearnings of the overwhelming majority. There is no amount of political or social agitation that can reverse the dismal state of the economy of any nation except the prayers of Gods people. The socio-political or economic progress of your nation is not dependent on politicians and those in government; it is solely dependent on your words and the fervency of your prayers for those at the hem of affairs in your country! Even if they are not born again, youre obliged to pray for them. You may have issues with their leadership style; you may not share same political ideologies with them, yet you still have the responsibility of interceding for them as a Christian. Learn to bless your country; refrain from speaking in negative terms against your country. Change the situation through prayers and a good confession. Proverbs 11:11 exhorts: by the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. Never gang up with unbelievers to speak negatively about your country. Exalt your nation by speaking words of blessing. Your contribution to nation building is your divine responsibility and it calls for your unreserved patriotic spirit!

Expect A Miracle when You Pray!

Posted on September 4, 2012 In our day, we cannot overemphasize the need and importance of miracles. It is the calling of every Christian to live in the realm of the supernatural. Miracles are the acts of God; He demonstrates His love and closeness to us through the supernatural manifestations in our lives. How do you explain that you pray to a God you do not see? Praying and expecting an answer reveals a desire for the miraculous. It shows the depth of a mans desire to communicate with the supernatural. Every answered prayer is a miracle, irrespective of what is prayed about. Often times, God demonstrates His sovereignty by performing a miracle for you when you are not expecting it or when you think you dont deserve it; He shows up on your behalf in His love for you. People pray everywhere irrespective of their religions and expect an answer because it is wrong to pray without expecting an answer. Your expectation of an answer is faith; when He answers, there is a miracle! Expect God to answer your prayers today. There is a miracle for you right where you are; receive it. Receive that healing in your body; receive that divine intervention you need in your business, family and in your ministry, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Strengthen Your Heart

Posted on July 27, 2012 If you desire that your dreams come to pass; to have an understanding of God in reality; to know and serve Him with wholehearted devotion; to know and fellowship with Him every day and grow in the knowledge of God, then you ought to be a praying person. Sometimes you may not know which way to go. There may be several options presented to you and you dont know which is Gods way. Thats when you ought to pray. As you start praying in the Holy Ghost, your heart will become strengthened in the direction you should go. When Paul prayed that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, he was not talking about the Man Christ, but His anointing. He prayed that the anointing of the anointed one will dwell in your hearts by faith. Always pray this prayer when the pressure comes; then you will find your heart always strengthened and directed towards the will of God even when the pressure mounts against you. You will grow closer to God and become more sensitive to His voice.

Become Committed to Prayer .

Posted on July 17, 2012 As Christians, we must strive at having effective prayer lives. Prayer is not only a fellowship, its also a labour. And its wrong for us to pray only when we feel like it. Our bodies and minds may not enjoy praying and can rebel against it because prayer doesnt appeal to our minds and senses. Many times we make the mistake of putting off praying till the end of the day, but by the time we are through with the activities of the day, we are so tired and drowsy and our thoughts start wondering while we are praying. At this stage, labour comes into prayer; a fight to keep yourself on track against the dictates of the flesh. This requires ample training and you must be resolved to stick with your prayer schedule. Some Christians may find it difficult to do this, but the reason is they havent been able to discipline their flesh. If you can train your mind and body to go to work every day of the week, without ever considering getting to work late, or missing work for a day; then you can train yourself to pray regularly and also on time. Learn the importance of prayer and be willing to make sacrifices for your prayer life. Dont depend on emergency prayers; consistency is the key. There are so many things that would compete with your prayer time, but theres a lot you can achieve on your knees. Stay connected to God and make a fresh commitment to your personal prayer life today.

Start issuing Commands

Posted on July 12, 2012

There comes a time when you have to take things by force. You have to stand on your healing by force. You have to stand on Gods Word by force, especially when things around you want to make it look like the Word does not work. You must command yourself to walk in the knowledge of Gods Word. I force my body to pray. I force my mind to study Gods Word. I see Gods Word for me as the final authority. When you recognise Gods Word as a commission and a command, and you stay on the Word, and pray without ceasing, then you can be in control. Your commands should be issued when you pray and speak Gods Word, not issued to other people around. Never forget this: when you command, give your commands to the devil and the circumstances you want changed. Dont even wait till the devil tries to mess things up; start issuing your commands now! Command in the power of the Spirit. Declare that by the stripes of Jesus you were healed. Declare that with you nothing shall be impossible because you are a believer. Declare that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. Declare that greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world. Declare Gods Word abundantly. As you do, you are issuing commands, and youll command instant respect in heaven, on earth and in hell.

Spend time in fellowship with God

Posted on July 4, 2012 Around the world, there are Christians who think that praying is something we do only when we face challenges that require divine intervention. This is a misconception that would make prayer less productive and delightful. Prayer is more than an opportunity to get God to do something for us when we have tried other means that failed. Prayer is fellowship with God; a time when we commune with God and synchronize ourselves with His purpose for lives daily. This is very important to every Christian who desires to live a purposeful and fulfilled life here on earth. The more time you spend in fellowship with the Lord in prayer, the more of His character and personality are revealed in and through you; you will find out that your thoughts are constantly inundated with inspirations from the Word of God, and the things you do will align with His plans for your life. Your heart will always be pure towards men, and you would always see the good in people. Prayer conditions your Spirit, making you receptive to God always as He leads you along the way through the challenges of the day. If you havent taken praying serious, make up your mind today to spend quality time p raying; especially praying in other tongues.

Pray in the Name of Jesus

Posted on May 29, 2012 When we look through the scriptures, there is no place where the Christian is asked to pray to Jesus or through Jesus. What the Bible teaches is that we pray in the Name of Jesus which is the right way to pray.

There are folks who when they pray, would say, Lord Jesus, I ask that you grant me such and such in Jesus name. That is wrong; you dont pray to Jesus in the Name of Jesus, neither do you pray to the Father through the Name of Jesus. You pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus according to John 16:23 which says, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my Name, He will give it to you. You may fellowship with Jesus and tell Him how much you love Him, and tell Him things that are in your heart, but you dont pray to Him. As Christians, we dont need an intermediary between us and the Father. To pray through Jesus is to make Him an intermediary between us and the Father, but to pray in the Name of Jesus means you are standing in the place of Jesus you have become His voice. In other words even if you are asking the Lord for something, Jesus is actually the one doing it, for you are asking in His Name. This is why it is impossible for God to deny your request, since you are asking by faith in the Name of Jesus. Jesus has given us the legal right to use His Name. We have the right of attorney to function in His stead. So we cant pray through Him anymore. He has delegated His authority to you, the same authority He had on earth to request anything of the Father and have it granted. So, when you have a request to make of the Father and you want that request granted, do it in the Name of Jesus.

The Earnest Prayer Of the Righteous

Posted on May 9, 2012 The Apostle Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2, asked the saints to pray for him and other ministers with him, that they may be delivered from wicked and unreasonable men who were against the faith and the preaching of the Gospel. He wanted the Word of God to grow mightily and prevail among the gentiles. When decrees or laws are enacted, which are against the preaching of the Gospel, we must become aware that such things are done by wicked and unreasonable men who have found their way into power for their selfish gains. But God expects us to stop them through prayer. And we are given the assurance that we have His attention when we pray against such things. There is so much power in the Church, but we cant discover the extent and potency of the power we possess with our mouths shut. For the power to be effective, we need to pray and declare what we want to see in our countries; we have the divine authority to cause a change through prayers. All thats necessary is for one righteous man or woman to be stirred enough to pray earnestly and effectively against the evil machinations to frustrate Gods people. I challenge you today to be that righteous man or woman who will take a stand in prayer and will not stop praying until the Word of God grows mightily and prevails in every nation of the world.

The Prayer of Agreement

Posted on April 2, 2012 The prayer of agreement is one of the different kinds of prayer the Bible teaches on. This kind of Prayer involves two or more people joining their faith together and deciding to pray

concerning anything in particular they desire. If for example, you want to effect a positive change in your job, family, health, or anything, call up someone who believes with you in the faith to pray in agreement with you. The prayer of agreement is a sure way to get results, but be sure to follow its rules. First, the Scripture says if any of two of you shall agree; meaning it involves two or more people. Then it says as touching anything that they shall ask; that means you must be specific. Finally, you must pray in faith and in line with the Word. Having done all that, you can be rest assured that your prayers would be answered. The Bible says, and this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us (1 John 5:14). The next time you want to effect a change concerning any situation, follow the rules of the prayer of agreement; its one of the sure ways of praying and getting results.

PRAY FOR THE NATIONS

Posted on January 21, 2011 And seek the peace of the cityand pray unto the lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. When you turn on your radio or television, youll see pictures of people devastated by wars, earthquakes, tornadoes, famine and flood in different nations of world. As Christians, we cant just sit down with our arms folded and allow the devil go on rampage, destroying millions of lives all of the world. We have a responsibility to cause changes in our respective countries, and this can only be achieved through prayer. Someone once said, the only ingredient required for the evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. The reality of this is more compelling in our world today. Most Christians assume someone else is praying for the country, whereas nobody is. They look around and see many great ministers of the gospel, and they unconsciously leave all the praying to them. Never put the fate of your country in the hands of others. This is the thought God communicated to the prophet Jeremiah in the scripture above. The same thought was reiterated by the apostle Paul in his letter to timothy in 1Timthy 2:1-2; I exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Take interest in the affairs of your country. I dont mean that your life should be dictated by them, but be a watchman as Ezekiel was to Israel in Ezekiel 3:17:Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. Set some time aside to pray for your nation today. As you pray, declare these words: Father, thank you because your Word is growing and prevailing in our nation. Your peace is reigning supreme in our hearts, famines, cities, states and throughout the entire country. I pray

for the supply of your wisdom to our leaders to govern the affairs of nation in righteousness and justice. And may the citizens lives in godly fear and reverence, in the Name of Jesus,
