PRECISION BRAZING PREFORMS

Brazing rings are a popular and effective method of filler metal placement. Autobraze rings are made in a variety of alloy compositions and sizes. When heated, the brazing ring melts and flows into the capillary space to make a complete bond. Braze rings are often used with automated brazing equipment to ensure braze filler metal placement at the exact location. Each ring is sized for a specific part, eliminating waste from excess filler metal applications. Rings can be located on the external surface, or Inserted inside and drawn out during heating. Autobraze rings are created with exact dimensional tolerances and reliable flow characteristics.

BRAZING ALLOYS
Autobraze brazing alloys are a result of proprietary technology that precisely controls the phosphorus content to exacting standards. The phosphorous content determines the precise melting temperature and performance. All Autobraze phos/copper and silver/phos/copper brazing alloys conform to +/- 30 C (+/- 60 F) of the specified liquidus temperature. Such conformity to specification assures the operator of consistent brazing performance with every application. This advantage is apparent in automated brazing operations where control of flow temperatures can significantly reduce the incidence of rejects.

RETURN BENDS
Through years of research and development, Autobraze has created a state of the art return bend production facility. We create only the finest return bends, guaranteed to meet our customers specifications and high standards. Autobraze return bends are easy to recognize, as they are free of oil and residue and have a bright, shiny finish. Our detailed quality inspections minimize the occurrence for splits, dents or missing rings. Such attention to detail ensures your automated brazing process is consistent and leak-free.

Return bends maintain uniform clearance and position to promote full penetration of brazed connections. Return bends available for most evaporator and condenser coils. Aluminum return bends also available. Return bends available with or without brazing rings for manual or automated brazing. Return bends with brazing rings conform to very tight tolerances if needed to ensure uninterrupted automated brazing. State-of-the-art cleaning process ensures that our products have absolute minimum oxides. Various sizes and quantities available. Also available: open-top, crossovers, tripods, tees, manifolds, copper tubing and other custom shapes.

PHOSPHORUS COPPER ALLOYS USED ON RETURN BENDS

LCuP-6
This is an economical non-silver alloy engineered for joining copper, brass, and bronze. The low phosphorus alloy has a sluggish flow characteristic which is beneficial when brazing return bends with joint clearances that are hard to maintain.

HP (LCuP-7)
An economical non-silver alloy that demonstrates a more fluid flow characteristic when compared to Stay-Silv . This alloy is most popular with the European and Asian HVAC manufacturers. HP (LCuP-7) should be used when brazing return bends with joint clearances between .002 - .005 (.050-.127mm)

HHP
An economical non-silver alloy which has been extremely popular for automated brazing of copper return bends in the United States. Operators enjoy the quick and consistent flow characterized by the HHP alloy. Belt speeds on autobrazers are able to run faster which means more output of finished products out the door.

NEW!
Stay-Silv

HARRIS EXCLUSIVE

This alloy of Silicon, Phosphorus, Tin, and Copper is the first of a new generation of alloys introduced by The Harris Products Group. This alloy is now available in brazing rings for the first time. Blockade is a low temperature alloy with good penetration into the joint, culminating with a cap or fillet to visually confirm a leak-free seal. This exciting new alloy is now gaining success with autobrazing return bends.

An economical non-silver alloy designed primarily for copper to copper brazing. This alloy performs well with return bends when working with clearances .005 or less.

Stay-Silv 2
An economical 2% Silver Phos Copper alloy used for joining copper and low zinc brasses. This alloy produces strong leak-proof ductile joints. This alloy can be useful when brazing return bends with wide joint clearances.

Flash (LCuP-8)
This non-silver, fast flowing, low-temperature, braze filler metal enables faster autobrazer belt speeds. The result is a low cost braze part. Flash is recommended for return bends where there are narrow clearances of .002 - .004 (.050-.102 mm) *Note: A brazing flux should always be used when brazing brass or bronze base metals with the above alloys

The Harris Products Group formed out of a merger of JW Harris Company, Harris Calorific and Autobraze. We are a world leader in the design, distribution and manufacture of cutting, welding, brazing, soldering consumables and equipment, gas distribution systems and brazing preforms. The Harris Products Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Lincoln Electric Company, a global leader in joining, equipment, consumables, accessories and fume extraction.
