UNCOMMON FAVOUR by Past.Ayo Oyebanjo "For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield". (Psalms 5:12 KJV) "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come." (Psalms 102:13 KJV) CONDITION PRECEDENT AND SUBSEQUENT CONSEQUENCE You must first become a seed before expecting a harvest Examples in Scripture => Joseph; He was a slave yet he was prosperous "And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren." (Deuteronomy 33:16 KJV) "But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased."(Psalms 115:3 KJV) In Israel, first borns were entitled to a double portion of Inheritance yet because of God's favour,Joseph's two sons-Mannasah and Ephrai became the beneficiaries. The double-portion was the giving of the national and racial birthright to "the two sons of Joseph" instead of to but one. "Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's"(1 Chronicles 5:1, 2 KJV) =>David though born last became a beneficiary of a divine reversal "And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither."(1 Samuel 16:11 KJV) "The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes." (Psalms 118:22, 23 KJV) David's blessings were transenerational-David's children were beneficiaries of this favour. This ws indicative of the "sure mercies of God" "Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs"-.Daniel 1:9 (KJV)

=> Favour stabilizes the beneficiary's blessings "Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled."(Psalms 30:7 KJV) => Beneficiaries of Favour experience success without "labour" "It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep" (Psalms 127:2 KJV) => Favour releases Strength "For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted"-.Psalm 89:17 (KJV) "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."(Genesis 6:5, 7, 8 KJV)
