PRESENTATION

T. starts his lesson by asking his students about famous inventions. Ss. try to give their opinions about the most important inventions. Ss. match the words in the box with the pictures. Students read the texts and say who they think invented the objects. Ss. Listen to complete the stories and check their answers. Students listen again and answer the questions.

PRACTICE

T. asks his student to look at the next page. T. gives and explanation about the use of the past continuous. Students look at the examples. Students underline other examples of the past continuous in the texts on page 12. Students look at the picture and complete the sentences. Students use the past continuous to complete the sentences. T. asks his students to turn to page 110 to check the pronunciation section. Students listen to the pronunciation of was and were and circle the correct option.
