The two nominees are: Julie Seidler, and Karen Henness Elections for Delegate and Alternate to Convention (2013-16): We have two delegates and two alternates for three-year terms Cindy Cooper has two more years left as delegate. Julie Seidler is an alternate for one more year. Nomination for delegate: Julia DeLancey Nomination for alternate: Krista Baker Voting was conducted by acclamation, with all nominations approved unanimously. Ballots were still submitted; if any discrepancy arises, they will be dealt with at a future meeting. Outgoing members of the Bishops Committee were recognized with gifts of appreciation. Report on progress of building campaign: Bishops warden, Kevin Minch, presented the architects final plans for our building campaign, with plans for potential future additions if we ever decide to do continue renovations. He discussed and presented options for new roofing material and siding for the addition. Tim Baker, project manager, discussed meetings to date with surveyors. We are close to having base blueprints in hand, and then we will start the bidding process. Then we will also be able to make final decisions on which options we can afford for items such as roofing and siding, etc. Tim discussed how we will minimize impact on activities of the church during construction (putting up temporary walls, etc.) Questions were answered about the changes needed to the gradient on Harrison, resulting in a gentle rise up to a mezzanine-type entrance level. The lift will include three stops: entrance, sanctuary above, and basement below. Johnnette reminded us that major changes to the building must involve the approval of the diocese once plans are finalized. As long as we remain within budget, she foresees no problem with this.

Questions were raised about the time frame. Tim believes we should break ground in the spring, and foresees the project taking a year. Once surveys are complete, Tim will post a project time line. Announcement: Diane Johnson would like to convene a committee or informal group to talk about pastoral care in our community. A number of people in our congregation need support, and we need to be intentional in planning how we might provide it. She envisions a monthly meeting. The bishops committee has discussed having a pastoral care committee, but Dianes vision is to have a broader vision than just bringing soup to a sick person. Krista raised the possibility of establishing of a lay Eucharistic ministry. Julia and all of us offered thanks to Kirsty and Ian for ongoing work on the bulletin. Meeting adjourned: 1:15 p.m.
