PORTUGUS A revista ACTA Geogrfica aceita inscries para publicao de trabalhos inditos sobre geografia e reas afins. So aceitos artigos encaminhados para publicao redigidos em portugus, ingls, francs, espanhol ou italiano, desde que correspondam ao idioma original do(s) autor(es). A ACTA Geogrfica possui quatro sees abertas para inscries externas: artigos: resultado de pesquisa, terica ou emprica iniciao cientfica: resultado de pesquisas desenvolvidas por projetos de iniciao cientfica, juntamente assinada com o(s) professor(es) orientador(es). short communication: notas de pesquisa em andamento, registros/relatos de pesquisa de campo ou encontros cientficos resenhas: apresentao do contedo de livros, Teses de Doutorado, Dissertaes de Mestrado e filmes (podendo ter uma avaliao crtica).

Os trabalhos enviados para a ACTA Geogrfica devero possuir a seguinte extenso: artigo: 10 a 25 pginas (incluindo bibliografia) resenha: 02 a 05 pginas short communication: 03 a 09 pginas iniciao cientfica: 10 a 15 pginas Os trabalhos devem ser enviados em extenso .doc (compatvel com Microsoft Office Word 972003) fonte Times New Roman, tamanho 12, espao entrelinhas de 1,5, folha tamanho A4. Margens: inferior e superior 2,0cm, esquerda e direita 2,5cm. O texto deve ser formatado em uma nica coluna. Os artigos devem ser precedidos de um resumo na lngua em que for escrito e dois resumos correspondente em lngua estrangeira (obrigatoriamente dever ter um resumo em ingls), tendo, no mximo 250 palavras em espao simples e uma relao de palavras-chave (no mnimo de trs e mximo de cinco). O ttulo tambm dever ser traduzido. recomendado contratar um profissional para elaborao do resumo em lngua estrangeira (no utilizar tradutor automtico). O texto deve ser dividido sem numerao e com subttulos (fonte tamanho 12, negrito e sem tabulao). Tabelas e ilustraes (ABNT NBR 14724/dezembro/2005) devem ser referidas no texto e numeradas de acordo com a sequncia. As tabelas devem ter ttulo/legenda na parte superior (fonte tamanho 12 e espaamento simples) e as ilustraes ttulo/legenda na parte inferior (fonte tamanho 12 e espaamento simples). As ilustraes (grficos, mapas, fotografias, desenhos, entre outros) devero ser enviadas em formato GIF ou JPG, j inseridas no corpo do texto. As Referncias devero ter chamadas no texto pelo(s) sobrenome(s) do(s) autor(es), em maisculas, data e pgina, quando dentro do parntesis (FREITAS, 1993, p.76) e em minsculas quando inseridas na frase: Segundo Freitas (1993, p.76). Se um mesmo autor citado tiver mais de

uma publicao no mesmo ano, identificar cada uma delas por letras, (FREITAS, 1993a, p.66). As Referncias (somente aquelas citadas no texto) completas devero constar ao final do texto, alinhadas totalmente esquerda, em ordem alfabtica, e elaboradas de acordo com a NBR6023:2000 da ABNT. As referncias devero ser organizadas de acordo com a NBR-10520:2001 da ABNT e devem seguir os modelos e exemplos abaixo: Livro: SOBRENOME, Nomes. Ttulo do Livro. Local de Edio: Editora, ano da publicao. ?p. (total de pginas) Captulo de livro: SOBRENOME, Nomes (do autor do captulo). Ttulo do captulo. In: SOBRENOME, Nomes (Ed., Org., Comp.) Ttulo do Livro. Nome da Revista, Local de Edio, v.?, n. ?, p. pgina inicial - pgina final, ano da publicao. Tese/Dissertao: SOBRENOME, Nomes. Ttulo da tese/dissertao. Tese/Dissertao (Doutorado/Mestrado em ...) - Instituto, Universidade, local da defesa, ano da defesa. ? f. Evento: SOBRENOME, Nomes. Ttulo do trabalho. In: NOME DO EVENTO EM CAIXA ALTA, 5., Cidade, data. Ttulo Anais... Local de edio: Editora, data. pgina inicial-final do trabalho. As citaes textuais de menos de trs linhas devero aparecer no decorrer do texto, na mesma letra (sem itlicos) e entre aspas. As citaes que ocuparem mais de trs linhas devero ser digitadas separadas do texto principal, com recuo, sem aspas nem itlicos e em fonte 10. Em ambos os casos, deve ser citado o SOBRENOME do autor, ano, pgina. IMPORTANTE: O contedo dos textos assinados de exclusiva responsabilidade dos autores.

ENGLISH ACTA Geogrfica Journal accepts submissions for the publication of previously unpublished studies in geography and related areas of study. Articles are accepted in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish or Italian, as long as they are written in the author's or authors' native language. ACTA Geogrfica Journal has four sections open for external submissions: articles: featuring theoretical or empirical research results undergraduate research: results of studies developed in undergraduate research projects, co-

signed by supervising professors. short communication: releases about research projects currently underway, records/reports of field research or scientific gatherings review: reviews of books, Doctorate Theses, Master's Dissertations and movies (these may contain critical evaluations). Material sent to ACTA Geogrfica Journal should follow the following guidelines pertaining to extension: articles: 10 to 25 pages (including bibliography) abstracts: 2 to 5 pages short communication: 3 to 9 pages undergraduate research: 10 to 15 pages All material should be sent in .doc format (compatible with Microsoft Office Word 97-2003), in size 12 Times New Roman font, with 1.5 line spacing and in A4 page format. Margins: upper and lower: 2.0cm; left and right: 2.5cm. The text should be formatted into a single column. Articles must be preceded by an abstract in the language the article was written in, with two versions of the abstract in different languages (should have an abstract in English). Abstracts must have a maximum length of 250 words, be single-spaced and feature a list of keywords (minimum three, maximum five). The title should also be translated. The hiring of a professional translator is recommended for the required version of the abstract in a different language (machine translations should be avoided). The text should be divided without numeration and with subtitles (size 12 font, bold face, no tabs). Tables and illustrations (Brazilian Association of Technical Norms - ABNT NBR 14724/December/2005), should be cited in the text and numbered according to sequence. The tables should have titles or captions above them (size 12 font, single spaced) and illustrations should have titles or captions below them (size 12 font, single spaced). Illustrations (graphs, maps, photographs and drawings, among others) should be delivered already imbedded in the body of the text, in GIF or JPG format. References should be cited in the text by the surname(s) of the author(s), written in upper-case letters, with the date and page number, when in brackets; e.g., (FREITAS, 1993, p.76). They should be written in lower-case letters when cited in the text; e.g., According to Freitas (1993, p.76). If a single author cited has more than one publication in the same year, identify each of them with letters; e.g., (FREITAS, 1993a, p.66). Complete references (only those cited in the text) should be listed at the end of the text, left-aligned, in alphabetical order and elaborated in compliance with ABNT NBR-6023:2000. Reference should be organized in compliance with ABNT NBR-10520:2001 and should follow the following models and examples: Book: SURNAME, Given names. Book Title. Publishing location: Publisher, year of publication. ?p. (total number of pages)

Book chapter: SURNAME, Given names (of the author of the chapter). Chapter title. In: SURNAME, Given names (Pub., Org., Comp.) Book Title. Publishing location: Publisher, year of publication. Chapter Number, p. (first page - final page of the chapter). Article: SURNAME, Given names. Article Title. Name of Journal, Publishing Location, v.?, no. ?, p. first page - final page of the chapter. Thesis/Dissertation: SURNAME, Given names. Thesis/Dissertation Title. Thesis/Dissertation (Doctorate/Master's in ...) - Institute, University, location of oral examination, year of oral examination. ? f. Event: SURNAME, Given names. Title of study In: NAME OF EVENT IN UPPER CASE LETTERS, 5, City, date. Annals Title... Location of publication: Publisher, date. first-last page of the study. Quotes of less than three lines in length pertaining to the text should appear within the text itself, in the same font (not in italics) and between quotation marks. Quotes that take up more than three lines should be inserted separately from the main text, indented, without quotation marks and not in italics and in size 10 font. In both cases, the SURNAME of the author, the year and the page number should be cited.

Itens de Verificao para Submisso

Como parte do processo de submisso, autores so obrigados a verificar a conformidade da submisso com todas os itens listados a seguir. Sero devolvidas aos autores as submisses que no estiverem de acordo com as normas. 1. A contribuio original e indita, e no est sendo avaliada para publicao por outra revista; caso contrrio, justificar em "Comentrios ao Editor". (The contribution has to be original and not be published by another publisher. Also, the text should not be submitted simultaneously for another review process in another journal; if this requirement is not fulfilled, please justify in the section Comments to the Editor). 2. Os arquivos para submisso esto em extenso .doc (compatvel Microsoft Office Word 97-2003). O tamanho do arquivo no ultrapassa 3MB. (The arquives submitted should be in Format .doc (Microsoft Office Word 97-2003 compatible). The file size does not exceed 3MB). 3. Todos os endereos de pginas na Internet (URLs), includas no texto (Ex.: http://www.ufrr.br/) esto ativos e prontos para clicar. (All electronic addresses of the Internet (URLs), including those of the text (Ex.: http://www.ufrr.br/) should be activated and ready for access).

O texto est em espao 1,5; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itlico ao invs de sublinhar (exceto em endereos URL); com figuras e tabelas inseridas no texto, e no em seu final. (The text should be spaced 1.5, formated in 12pt font. Please, use italics instead of underlines (with the exception of URL addresses). All figures, graphics and tables should be positioned directly into the text sequence, and not at the end).

O texto segue os padres de estilo e requisitos bibliogrficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na seo Sobre a Revista. (The text has to comply with the rules published at in style and bibliographical references Guidelines for for Authors, in the section About the Journal).

A identificao de autoria deste trabalho foi removida do arquivo e da opo Propriedades no Word, garantindo desta forma o critrio de sigilo da revista, caso submetido para avaliao por pares (ex.: artigos), conforme instrues disponveis em Asegurando a Avaliao por Pares Cega. (The authors identification should be removed from the text and also from the Word Properties, to guarantee that the anonymous referee process can be fully accomplished, following the instructions in Assuring the Avaliation by Double Blind).

Os(as) autores(as) tm permisso para a publicao da contribuio em outro meio, impresso ou digital, em portugus ou em traduo, desde que os devidos crditos sejam dados Revista ACTA Geogrfica. ENGLISH ACTA Geogrfica Journal will obtain the auctorial rights for all published texts. This also implies that the text can be published anywhere in the world, including all rights on renewal, expansion and dissemination of the contribution, as well as other subsidiary rights. The authors get permission to publish the contribution in other medias, printed or digital, itmay be in Portuguese or translation, since the publication is credited to ACTA Geogrfica Journal.
