OBJECTIVE: To enable students to APPLY the subject related learnings while earning the internal marks. METHODOLOGY: Following steps as mentioned below: 1. Build and believe in team effort and team harmony. Contribute equally. 2. Create a virtual organisation having multiple Strategic Business Units. 3. Create your own story about company product lines, manufacturing process using POM, QM & OR subjects, finance options and process, HRM policies and practices, Marketing functions, Market Research for any new product using the Research Methodology techniques also covering Legal Aspects of business (Broad suggestions on topics that should be covered is given by respective faculty. See that in the same document.) 4. Allocate jobs and put efforts equally. 5. Present to the entire college on Tuesday, May 21st , 2013 about your company practices through presentation / Role play / skit or any other that interests your team. You can have posters posted in the college, kiosks to give information about your company, product etc., Time limit given for each group is 1 hour. 6. Submit a detailed write up of the same. 7. Above all, have FUN while taking this forward. RATED AGAINST: 1. Whether or not all members of the team are involved in making this happen and presenting on the due day. 2. Whether or not all topics suggested by teachers are covered. The team score will be higher as much as your cover. As story is yours, you can build scenes incorporating topics. 3. The presentation skills. For your information, Presentation Rubric is in the same file. FRUITS: 1. If any student is not taking part in this project, 25 marks of the Internals will be nullified to zero.

2. 10 marks of your 25 internal marks are alloted to this team project. 3. Each of the team member will earn the same mark as the other members of the team to the extent of 8 marks. The rest 2 marks are for the presentation skills exhibited by the individual team member.

How you processed the research data by using analytical techniques? (a sample data sheet can be captured and shown in the presentation) 7. What were the results? FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 1. Prepare a comparative statement and appraise the two projects using IRR and Net present value methods 2. What is the capital required for the project. What are the various options of raising the capital and the cost of raising capital for each option? 3. What will be the effect of the capital structure post capital raising by the above method? Discuss with special reference to leverage. 4. With increased production/diversification, how much extra working capital will be required? What portion of capital raised will be used for working capital? How will it affect the working capital cycle? 5. Explore the wealth maximization of shareholder value in context of investment in this new project versus, distribution of dividends. PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT 1. What is the layout type/types of your production plant? 2. What quality management concept is being followed in your manufacturing plant? SIXSIGMA / TQM? (can be both for different plants) 3.
