SGP-PA Beneficiary Responsibilities


Carry a full load per semester as prescribed in the curriculum and finish within the required period of the program Maintain a satisfactory academic performance in accordance with the policies and standards of the SUC Render a return service of 2 years after graduation in the Philippines except for highly critical courses determined by local industry and government services Adhere to terms and conditions as stipulated in the Contract

OBJECTIVE
The SGP-PA aims to contribute to the National Governments thrusts in effectively addressing poverty alleviation by increasing number of graduates in higher education among poor households and to get these graduates employed in high-value added occupations in order d to t lift their th i families f ili out t of f poverty t and d contribute t ib t to t national development.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Sign the Contract with the SUCs as the executor of the program Support their child as recipient of grants-in-aid towards completion of college students Ensure that the related expenses and other incidental expenses for health and clothing shall be paid on time Ensure that recipient will religiously attend to his/her classes and minimize absences, and complete school requirements Provide such other moral support and ensure that all the financial benefits directly received by the grantee shall be spent for all the legitimate purposes and on time In the event that the head is the beneficiary himself he shall assume the foregoing responsibilities to complete his studies

TARGET BENEFICIARIES
4,041 Beneficiaries qualified to enroll in leading SUCs to take up priority and other degree programs that CHED may deem critical to national development as indicated in CMO No. No 04, 04 s. s 2011 (CHED Priority Courses from SY 2011-2012 to SY 2015-2016) Shall come from identified and classified poor households in the 609 focus municipalities covered under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the DSWD

FINANCIAL BENEFITS
A student-beneficiary shall be entitled to a maximum of Php60,000.00 grant per school year. Tuition fee (based on the national average tuition fees of SUCs) and other fees Php10,000.00 per semester
