(A) FOR SINGNET VOIP COMMUNICATOR


(1) Install the SingNet VoIP Communicator Application (2) Launch SingNet VoIP Communicator (3) SingNet VoIP Communicator Settings

(1) Install the SingNet VoIP Communicator Application


To install SingNet VoIP Communicator in your computer, please follow these steps: 1.1 1.2 Double click SingNet VoIP Communicator.exe Click at the Next button in the Welcome to the BroadWorksCommunicator Setup Wizard to proceed

1.4 Select the directory where SingNet VoIP Communicator would be installed and click at Next button to continue

1.6 Click Finish in the Completing the BroadWorksCommunicator Setup Wizard

1.7 Once the installation is completed, launch Communicator

(2) Launch SingNet VoIP Communicator


2.1 Enter the User Name and Password
(where User Name = Tel.no @singnet.com and Password = refer to the password provided in the Service Letter from SingNet)

2.2 Check Remember my sign information if you would like SingNet VoIP Communicator to remember your User Name and Password 2.3 Click Sign In to access the SingNet VoIP Communicator

(3) SingNet VoIP Communicator Settings


Follow the steps below to configure SingNet VoIP Communicator Settings: 3.1 BroadWorks Settings (Pre-configured. Do not change the settings)

Same as User Name. Your 8digits telephone number Default Password provided by SingNet = 8 character (This is provided in the Service Letter from SingNet)

Click Save and restart the SingNet VoIP Communicator.

Your telephone number will be displayed at the left lower corner of the SingNet VoIP Communicator Home page screen upon login successfully.

Hardware Installation Steps


Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into your PCs Ethernet port and the other end into the MTAs LAN port. - Refer to Figure 1 Connect the power adapter on the back of the MTA marked 12V DC. Refer to Figure 1 Wait until the MTA is completely initialized. The MTA is ready when the RUN light is blinking steadily.

Using DHCP To Configure The LAN Address


MTA 6328-2Res LAN is setup for DHCP as the default. Follow these steps to configure your PCs IP settings. This will configure the internal port (LAN) which communicates to your PC through the network cable. Click [Start] button on your Taskbar.

Click [Settings] > [Control Panel] > [Network]. Right mouse click on [Local Area Connection] and select [Properties]. Select [General] and tick [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] - Refer to Figure 2

Restart your system. Your PC should now have automatically obtained an LAN IP address from the MTA's built-in DHCP server. Click [Start] > [Run], type cmd to execute command prompt screen and select OK Verify this by typing "ipconfig" at the command prompt. Take note of the Default Gateway IP Address, you need this address point to Web User Interface - Refer to Figure 4

Configuring MTA via Web User Interface


Open your web browser and enter the IP address of the MTA. The default address is Gateway Default address 192.168.99.1(which is shown in Figure 4). The Login Dialogue Box is shown. Refer to Figure 6

Configuring WAN IP for Dynamic IP Address User

Click on [IP Network], then [Interface Setting]. From the pull down menu, select [External Port]. Tick [Enable DHCP] under [IP Setting]. Once you tick the check box all the fields under [IP Setting will turn blank. - Refer to Figure 8 Once data has been entered, please click [Save & Reboot] button to complete the task.

Configuring WAN IP for Static IP Address User


Click on [IP Network], then Interface Setting. From the pull down menu, select External Port. Verify if [Enable DHCP] under [IP Setting] has a tick. If yes, please un-tick it, else keep the setting. Enter your IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS, and FQDN (Name of unit). This information should be supplied by your ISP or network administrator. Refer to Figure 9

Setting Up The SIP Proxy Address For The Device To Register


Click on [VoIP] > [SIP Proxy]. Enter the IP address of your SIP Proxy. - Refer to Figure 10 Verify that the SIP Local Signaling Port is 5060.

Verify that [Registration Expiration Time (sec)] is 3600. Click [Save] to save the settings to the MTA.

Configuring User Account


Click on [VoIP] > [User Account] - Refer to Figure 11

Choose the [Line No] you would like to configure. This device comes with 2 VoIP lines; please select Line 1 or Line 2 from the drop down box. Enter the [User ID], [Password], [User Name] and [Authentication ID] in the fields. This information will be given to you. Click [Save] to save the settings to the MTA. Your device should now be able to make phone calls. If everything is set up correctly, you should have a dial tone when going offhook.

Changing Administrator ID and Password


Click on [Management], then [Administrator]. - Refer to Figure 12 Enter the new admin ID in [Administrator ID] field you wish to use. Enter the new password in [New Password] field Re-enter your new password in [Confirm Password] field. Click [Update] button to save your new ID and Password.

Changing End User ID and Password


Click on [Management], then [End User]. - Refer to Figure 13 Enter the new user ID in [New End User ID] field for user to access the MTA. Enter the new password in [New Password] field Re-enter your new password in [Confirm Password] field. Click [Update] button to save your new ID and Password.
