‘IT IS ALWAYS EASTER’
Dear brothers and sisters, let
us allow ourselves to be
enlightened by the splendor of
the risen Lord. Let us welcome
him with faith and adhere gen-
erously to his Gospel, as did the
first privileged witnesses of the
resurrection; as St. Paul did,
some years later, encountering
the divine Master in an extraor-
dinary way on the road to Damascus. We cannot
just hold onto the proclamation of this truth --
which changes the life of everyone -- only for our-
selves. And with humble confidence let us pray:
"Jesus, who, rising from the dead, anticipated our
resurrection, we believe in you!" I would like to
conclude with an exclamation that Silvanus of
Mount Athos loved to repeat: "Rejoice, my soul.
It is always Easter, because the risen Christ is
our resurrection!" May the Virgin Mary help us
cultivate in ourselves, and around us, this climate
of Easter joy, so that we may be witnesses of di-
vine love in every situation of our existence. Once
again, a happy Easter to all of you!

Y con el fin de motivar a los padres
católicos a bautizar a sus hijos cuanto
antes después del nacimiento, no se
pedirá ningún donativo para los bebés
que tienen sólo un mes o menos.
Los padres tienen obligación de hacer
que los hijos sean bautizados en las
primeras semanas; lo más pronto
después del nacimiento … Canon 867.1

RETIRO PARA SANACIÓN DESPUÉS
DEL ABORTO: Mayo 1, 2 y 3
Este retiro está diseñado para ayudar a
los participantes en que puedan
trabajar sobre el duelo y el coraje
reprimido en un ambiente seguro y sin
juzgamiento para poder llegar a la
aceptación, sanación y esperanza para
el futuro.
A través de los ejercicios espirituales
este retiro tiene como fin a ayudar en el
proceso del duelo sobre la pérdida de
los bebés nonatos y así también poder aceptar el perdón de
Dios. Favor de hacer una llamada discreta a la notaría
parroquial para nformarse más (591-6924).
CATÓLICAS’ LO SON
Puede ser que el templo se mira como un
templo Católico o que tienen allí una imagen
de la Virgen de Guadalupe o de otros Santos
Católicos. También puede ser que el llamado
‘Padre’ se viste como sacerdote y que allí dan
‘Misas’. Nada de esto garantiza que son
Católicos verdaderos en comunión con el Papa
Benedicto.
Tristemente, hay un numero creciente de
sectas nuevas que insisten que son 'Católicas'
pero rechazan la autoridad del Papa y las
demás doctrinas Católicas. Engañan a la gente no instruida que va en
busca de los Sacramentos de la Iglesia. Muchas de estas sectas son
‘negocios’ más que nada y así se están aprovechando de la gente
crédula. Los señores encargados de aquellas sectas, aunque se visten
de ‘Padres,’ no están interesados en la salvación del alma.
¡Cuidado con aquellas sectas! Y anote bien: un Católico debe asistir
a Misa y recibir los Sacramentos solamente en una parroquia
‘registrada’ con la Iglesia Católica, Apostólica y Romana. Si no, los
llamados ‘Sacramentos’ recibidos no son lícitos en los ojos de la
Iglesia Católica, Apostólica y Romana.
Si usted tiene una duda sobre una Iglesia específica, llame a la
notaría parroquial. Tenemos en la oficina un directorio de todas las
parroquias que están en comunión con el Papa y con el Cardenal
Mahony.
