Transcrio multimodal
A transcrio e a anlise de textos e eventos discursivos multimodais so noes intimamente relacionadas. (Baldry e Thibault, 2006, p. xvi). A transcrio um modo de revelar tanto a manifestao de recursos semiticos quanto o seu desenrolar dinmico no tempo ao longo de caminhos ou trajetrias textualmente mais ou menos restritas. A anlise sintetiza os resultados da transcrio a fim de dar suporte a afirmativas sobre o significado textual de modo criterioso e replicvel.

Transcrio multimodal
O livro desenvolve uma abordagem sistemtica para entender como as combinaes de palavras, imagens e sons, estticas numa pgina ou se movimentando em tempo real, constroem mais significados em conjunto que sozinhos. (Lemke, sobre o livro de Baldry e Thibault).
