Answer the following questions: (2 points) a. What do you understand by Literature Review? In my opinion a Literature review is a written summary of articles, books, and other documents that defines the past and current state of knowledge about a topic, classifies the literature into topics, and documents a need for a proposed study. This review helps the purpose of providing a need for a study and demonstrating that other studies have not addressed the same topic in precisely the same way. It also designates to audiences that the researcher is knowledgeable about studies related to a topic. A literature review must do these things 1. be organized around and related directly to the thesis or research question you are developing 2. synthesize results into a summary of what is and is not known 3. identify areas of controversy in the literature 4. formulate questions that need further research
