QUINTON BOWMAN
HR EXPERT | LAWYER | MENTOR | INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC SPEAKER Mr. Quinton Bowman is the Executive Vice President, Human Resources and the senior executive managing Human Resources, corporate travel, and corporate facilities and administration of BET Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B). Mr. Bowman began his employment with BET Networks in November 1998 at its Washington, D.C. corporate headquarters. He served first as Assistant General Counsel for Employment and Litigation and later as Associate General Counsel. In the Legal Affairs Department, Mr. Bowmans primary focus was litigation and employment matters. Additionally, he worked on issues related to regulatory matters and intellectual property. In 2001, he was moved to the Companys Human Resources to department to head it as Vice President, Human Resources. In 2004 was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and in 2011 was promoted to Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Administration. Mr. Bowman was born in Jackson, Mississippi. He attended the U.S. Military Academy and graduated from there in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After graduation, Mr. Bowman was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He attended law school at the University of Virginia graduating in 1985. Upon graduation from law school, was appointed a military lawyer in the Army Judge Advocate Generals Corps (JAGC). During his 20 years of active U.S. Army service, Mr. Bowmans assignments included Criminal Defense Counsel; Chief Prosecutor; Assistant Professor of Law; Chief Deputy Legal Officer; and Chief, Administrative Claims Branch. Mr. Bowman retired from the U.S. Army in October 1998 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Bowman resides in Arlington, Virginia and is a member of the bars of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Supreme Court of the United States. He serves as a board member for College Bound, a Washington, DC charitable organization which helps prepare DC public school students for college through tutoring, mentoring and scholarship programs. Additionally, he serves as a trustee of the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. Bowman will be joined by other international and regional HR experts. Dont miss it!
