The CCCNJ Weekly Prayer Requests

Scripture: “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the
LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

Weekly Theme: “The Mandarin Ministry ”

1. We are thankful for the pastorship of Rev. and Mrs. Tim Chen; Pray God to help them to
know their sheep more deeply, and send holy wisdom and ability to them for His use in His
work.
2. Pray for the fellowship leaders, cell group leaders, Sunday school teachers, and coworkers.
3. Pray God to raise more faithful, spirit-filled, humble brothers and sisters to serve Him.
4. Pray God to move more brothers and sisters to build God’s altar in their families, to worship
Him earnestly, and set up good examples for their children.
5. Pray for the four current church’s key goals: church expansion, church planting, pastor
search, and new elder nomination.
6. Pray God to help us to have a watchful and prayerful heart for the safety and peace of the
following mission organizations (Village Gospel Mission, Taiwan Industrial Evangelical
Fellowship, Taiwan Grass Root Mission), missionaries (Rev. Lieow Meng Kuang, Elder &
Mrs. Chia-Shan Yang, Scarlet Huang), and seminary student (Janas Caruncho,
Westminster),

--- English Ministry:

1. Pastor Samuel Ling will be preaching on Sunday. Please pray for him.
2. Pray for the church cleaning this Saturday.
3. Pray for revival meetings scheduled for this weekend.
4. Pray for preparations for short-term missions this summer.
5. Pray for the promotion and preparation for Memorial Day Weekend Retreat.
---Youth Ministry:
1. Motive. Pray that people would come with a desire to know God and be known by Him, and no other
reason.
2. Understanding. Pray that people would understand that relationship with God comes by His grace
alone, not by any good works (including baptism). Pray that they would really recognize their sinfulness
and uselessness without God, and embrace the love of a Savior who would love and embrace them
anyway.
3. Baptized Youth. Please pray for those who were baptized recently. Please pray for their relationship w/
God and that they would be “men and women who are not worthy of this world” (Hebrews 11﹕38).
