Russian Gas Society Meets Top Executives of CIMC, Gasfin Group and TVEL (Rosatom) on Natural Gas as Fuel

Implementation Issues Moscow, 28th of May 2013. Press Release By invitation of the President of the Russian Gas Society Mr.Valery Yazev the top management of state owned and private companies from Peoples Republic of China, EU and Russian Federation attended a meeting related to issues of developing infrastructure and applications of natural gas in transportation. During the meeting with CIMC (China International Marine Containers), Gasfin Group, CJSC Industrial Innovations (OJSC TVEL State Corporation Rosatom) and Eastwell, Mr.Yazev underlined prospective business directions following a recent initiative of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on converting of half of public transportation means and one third of cargo transportation means to natural gas. Mr. Zhao Quingsheng, the leader of CIMC delegation, underlined that CIMC Group and Gasfin Group are involved in strategic projects in the Russian Federation as Consortium CIMC-Gasfin, which is capable to provide entire technological cycle, including natural gas compressing and liquefaction, through deliveries and construction of storage systems, transportation and other logistics means, as well as, provision of transportation means and machinery using LNG and CNG as engine fuels. Mr. Davor Grcevich, the Director of Gasfin SA (Group) expressed satisfaction with recent key decisions in the Russian Federation that will stimulate transition to economically more feasible and ecologically cleaner natural gas fuels. Gasfin Group will provide proven track-record of EU based know-how and expertise in liquefaction, distribution and organization of navigable river-ways and marine bunkering. Parties made their inputs on issues of efficient implementing of natural gas in transportation system in the Russian Federation and the top-management of the companies expressed their commitment to participate in joint projects with Russian leading companies for development of gas re-fuelling stations networks, as well as, capacities for liquefaction and production of CNG/LNG targeting both domestic and export markets while using extensive experience of Consortium Gasfin-CIMC. Mr. Voloshin Sergey, representing CJSC Industrial Innovations pointed out that the company is undertaking active preparation with regard to converting the fleet of OJSC TVEL to natural gas. Mr. Antonio Nicotra, the Head of subsidiaries Gasfin Mobility and Air LNG reported about the development of its first combined CNG/LNG re-fuelling stations in Europe, as confirmation of ongoing tendency on an international scale. Prioritizing shift from petroleum fuels toward natural gas, supported by the consecutive statements and resolutions of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation opens numerous possibilities for the national industry and international cooperation in this direction summarized Mr. Valery Yazev.
