Seize the Hope!
The cool air and gentle breeze beckon us to
come outside. There is newness, and a stirring
just below the surface. Spring is just around
the corner, and we see evidence of this
everywhere! Patches of green grass are peeking
through. A robin hops across our path. Tiny
buds wait to unfurl their glorious leaves… hope
is alive.
Hope… spring branches unfurling
As we enter this new season of ministry with
World Gospel Mission, we have many
challenges that lie before us. Those challenges could threaten to overwhelm
us, and leave us feeling hopeless. Instead we have chosen to seize the hope!
In Romans 5, the Message translation says it this way: “We find ourselves
standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open
spaces of God's grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.
There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're
hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop
passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered
steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert
expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the
contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God
generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!” -Rom. 5:2-5
So if you are facing challenges in your own life– we would encourage you
to stay alert and see what God will do next!
Prayer Requests
• Pray that God would open doors to churches where we can share His
vision for Uganda.
• Pray that we would be 35% funded by June 2009, and 100% by June 2010.
• Pray for us as we move in with Josh’s parents and share a home while we
raise our support.
