What is LUMIA THERAPY?

Lumia Therapy is a fusion of light and color therapies. It is a safe and effective new form of energy healing. Lumia Therapy combines holistic healing principles with cutting edge technology to safely deliver amazing healing power of color vibrations at the speed of light. Lumia Therapy utilizes various color frequencies of polarized light to balance the energy levels in the body. The frequencies of light are controlled by color filters. Each color of the spectrum has a unique vibration. Our bodies are made to process these vibrations as bio-information that is vital to our ability to heal ourselves. How does LUMIA THERAPY work?

Lumia Therapy works in two ways: 1. Point Application Light is applied directly onto the body where improvement is needed. 2. Chakra Stimulation Light is applied onto the Chakras of the body located along the spine. Lumia Therapy uses two main technologies: 1. Bioptron Technology (polarized light is projected through color filters, one area and one color at a time) 2. What is light made of and why is it so important?

The main source of light is the Sun. Light is made of various energy rays. It is electro-magnetic in nature. It can be absorbed, reflected and transmitted. Everything on this planet along with us can absorb, reflect and transmit light vibrations to some degree. Light travels in waves of multiple frequencies. While all of those vibrations affect us, only a small group of frequencies is visible to us.

The vibrations of visible light are responsible for all that we can see. Our eyes can distinguish the different frequencies of light by seeing the colors of visible spectrum. There are seven main colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. They are most often seen together in a rainbow. We do, of course see all sorts of colors as pigments. Pigments are composed of elements that react to light waves in specific ways. Some light waves get absorbed and some get reflected back out for us to see. Pigments of different colors project different vibrations when exposed to light. Lumia Therapy utilizes the seven main light vibrations by using colored filters. Colored filters refract to light in a way that only one specific frequency of light can pass through each filter. Lumia Therapy uses polarized light as a delivery system. It is free of radiation and is extremely penetrating.

Color frequencies of visible spectrum correspond to natural vibrations of body's energy centers known as Chakras.

Each color has its perfect opposite or complement. It is important to know complementary colors as they are your keys to success with Lumia Therapy. A Chakra that is underactive needs the color which is assigned to its location. If a Chakra is known to be over-active, it can be balanced with application of the opposite or complementary color to counteract the vibrations of an overactive energy center in the body. An opposite color should be used for a short period of time after color application that lasts over 20 minutes. This is done to maintain the energies in balance.

The MegaBodyLight MARK

is an International renowned lighting apparatus, which

is being used alone and in addition to a Body Treatment session. It is a hanging bar with 7 Powerlight outputs. The beams shine down onto a client while lying face up or down depending on the session. Each Powerlight uses the Visible portion of L.E.D. light. L.E.D light is the closest to the suns Kelvin (color temperature). The pure light projects through the seven Chakra color filters. It is widely known that light can have positive effects on your health. The SUN is THE SOURCE for optimum cellular regeneration of the hormonal condition in the body. Unlike sunlight, the MegaBodyLight MARK

has no harmful UV-B (Ultra Violet B) or

excessive IR (Infra Red) rays, which can cause the skin to lose its elasticity and age prematurely. The immediate effects are muscle relaxation, the skin exuding a glowing radiance with a smooth texture, and an overall feeling of well-being. The long-term effects will be different for everyone as their hormonal systems are brought into balance. Maximum results can be seen in 21 days.

Testing has confirmed that the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 is safe for daily use. In order to use the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 system effectively, the body should be cleansed thoroughly prior to the session. Direct the light beam approximately 12-18 inches away from the surface of the skin, for at least 15 minutes each on the front and then back of the body. The optimum time is 60 minutes over the entire body. Moisturizers may be used during and after a MegaBodyLight MARK 7 session.

Features: The MegaBodyLight MARK 7 projects light directly onto the body according to the physiological coordinates of Darius Dinshah. Each "powerhead" produces L.E.D. white light and then passes through a carefully selected color filter. Each color filter follows the specific nanometers.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Starting up
1. Mount the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 approximately 3 above your table, with the dimmer towards the head, using the provided chain. 2. Insert the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 plug it into a standard 110-volt power outlet or 220-volt converter. 3. Without turning the unit on, point the 7 Powerlights to each of the Chakra Centers. 4. Each powerhead has the ability to be turned off/on just by locating the switch below the boot surface. 5. Immediately adjust each of the ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet beams by rotating the heads of each Powerlight. Final directional focusing can be done also. 6. Upon completion, rotate the dimmer counterclockwise until you hear the click, indicating the unit is off and the session is over. Unplugging is not necessary.

Application
1. Before a MegaBodyLight MARK 7 Lumia session, have the client bathe or shower. Cover-ups are not recommended and start without applying moisturizer at this time. 2. Prior to lying beneath the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 explain to the client being imbued with the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 and how the session will proceed. 3. In a relaxing tone, have the client lay underneath the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 in a face up position. 4. Continue to explain to the client while slowly pointing each of the Powerlight beams at their Chakra Centers. Be careful not to move the light beams once the session begins. Adjust the Powerlights to the maximum beam spread over the Chakric areas. 5. Either proceed with just the MegaBodyLight MARK 7 Lumia Science session or combine along with Massage or Body Work. Moisturizer may be added at this time and for the session duration.

Let There Be Light The Healing Art of Spectro-Chrome (Dinshah Ghadiali)

The MegaBodyLight MARK 7 technology is based on the works of Dinshah Ghadiali. He professed that the effects of color and light on the human system are subjects of continuous scientific investigation. The research and experiments of the late Dinshah Ghadiali proved that the body could be tuned or adjusted from disease to health by systematically exposing it to colored light. An example of this effect is found in the medical practice of treating premature babies with Bilirubin Syndrome (jaundice) by exposing them to blue light, although the methodology is somewhat different from Ghadialis. In April of 1920, Dinshah introduced his system of healing with colored lights to the world in New York City. (He had taken up permanent residence in the United States in 1911.) He named his development Spectro-Chrome. In the next four years Dinshah trained over 800 professionals and lay persons. He also designed and sold color projectors and accessories. The first indication of opposition to SpectroChrome emerged in the pages of the January 1924, Journal of the American Medical Association. The article ridiculed Spectro-Chrome and its originator as being preposterous, closing with the statements, Some physicians, after reading this article, may wonder why we have devoted the amount of space to a subject that, on its face seems so preposterous as to condemn itself. When it is realized that helpless but credulous patients are being treated for such serious conditions as syphilitic conjunctivitis, ovaritis, diabetes mellitus, pulmonary tuberculosis and chronic gonorrhea with colored lights, the space devoted to this latest cult will not be deemed excessive.
Dinshahs son, Darius, is alive and well, living in New Jersey. He has produced two books dealing with his fathers work. Both of these books, Let There Be Light, which was written by Darius, and a reprint of his fathers 1935 work, the Spectro-Chrome Metry Encyclopedia, are available from the World Research Foundation.

POLARIZATION
BIOPTRON Light is polarized light: its waves move (oscillate) in parallel planes. The light emitted by the BIOPTRON devices reaches a polarization degree of 95%.

POLYCHROMY
BIOPTRON Light is a polychromatic light. This means it contains not only one wavelength (like laser light) but a wide range, including visible light and a portion of the infrared range. The wavelength of BIOPTRON Light ranges from 480 nm to 3,400 nm. The BIOPTRON electromagnetic spectrum does not contain UV radiation!

LOW ENERGY
BIOPTRON Light has a low energy density. This energy density has biostimulative effects and allows the light to stimulate various biological processes in the body in a positive way.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS & HOW TO TREAT THEM with BIOPTRON

ACNE Remove all make up and thoroughly clean the treatment area using SWISSOLOGICAL Cleansing Milk. Remove any grease build up on the areas to be treated using Bioptron Light Fluid. If your skin is of the dry type, omit this procedure and instead apply Oxy Spray to the areas and allow to dry naturally. Apply a light film of Bioptron Balancing Gel to the entire treatment area. Apply the Bioptron lamp to all treatment areas for 4 minutes per area.
Additional areas of acne (Exampleshoulders, back, etc.) may also be treated in the manner above. Bioptron Crystal Cream is then applied to all areas and is infused into the skin by the Bioptron lamp for 1 minute on each area.

SCARS - acne scars, post-operative scars, post-traumatic scars, blemished skin Clean area with a mild cleansing lotion to thoroughly remove all make up and grease build up. Apply Oxy Spray to all areas to be treated. Apply Bioptron lamp to all treatment areas for 4 minutes per area. Treatment is completed with a further application of Oxy Spray over all areas.
NOTE: Use once or twice a day. For relatively new scars, in the best cases the scars will disappear to the point of becoming almost invisible. In the case of old (already healed) scars, often the only realistically feasible treatment is cosmetically improving the appearance of its surface.

HAIR PROBLEMS - loss of hair, dandruff, energy depleted hair Wash your hair using a good quality mild hair shampoo. Massage hair tonic into damp hair and scalp. Apply Bioptron light to hair / scalp for 6 minutes per treatment area. Repeat once a day if possible. Apply Bioptron light therapy for 5 minutes on each of the following areas: full frontal face, left side face, right side face, neck area (total 20 minutes). Re-hydrate and oxygenate skin with a further application of Oxy Spray on all treatment areas. PHOTO FACIAL BIOPTRON - (Deluxe) Remove all traces of make up and thoroughly clean pores with SWISSOLOGICAL Cleansing Milk. Apply Oxy Spray to the facial and neck area. Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Purifying Facial Scrub Gel to the whole face and neck area in gentle circular movements, paying particular attention to the T zone. Then remove Gel using WARM water. Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Clay mask to the treatment area and infuse it into the skin using the Bioptron lamp for 1 minute on each of the following areas: full frontal face, left side face, right side face, neck area (total 4 minutes). Relax for 10 minutes then remove the mask using COLD water. Remove the last traces of the mask using SWISSOLOGICAL Cleansing Tonic. Apply Oxy Spray to all treatment areas. Apply the Bioptron lamp for 3 minutes each on all treatment points above (total 12 minutes). Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Multi-Regenerating Cream to all treatment areas. Apply the Bioptron lamp for 3 minutes each on all treatment points above (total 12 minutes) to ensure maximum infusion of the cream into the skin. SKIN ENERGISING THERAPY - listless, flabby, irritated, energydepleted skin Apply Oxy Spray to the treatment area and allow Oxy Spray to stand/absorb for 1 minute. Use a mild cleansing lotion to thoroughly remove any grease build up Re-apply Oxy Spray to the entire treatment area. Apply the Bioptron lamp to the entire treatment area for 5 minutes per area. Apply Oxy Spray to the facial and neck area. Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Purifying Facial Scrub Gel to the whole face and neck area in gentle circular movements, paying particular attention to the T zone. Then remove Gel using WARM water. Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Clay mask to the treatment area and infuse it into the skin using the Bioptron lamp for 1 minute on each of the following areas: full frontal face, left side face, right side face, neck area (total 4 minutes). Relax for 10 minutes then remove the mask using COLD water. Remove the last traces of the mask using SWISSOLOGICAL Cleansing Tonic. Apply Oxy Spray to all treatment areas. Apply the Bioptron lamp for 5 minutes each on all treatment points above. (total 20 minutes). Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Hydro Lifting Serum to all treatment areas. Then Apply SWISSOLOGICAL Hydro Lifting Cream to all treatment areas. Apply the Bioptron lamp for 2 minutes each on all treatment points above (total 8 minutes). The absorption of the cosmetic-therapeutic ingredients of these high quality creams is considerably enhanced by this final procedure in the treatment process. PICK - ME - UP - seasonal depression, fatigue, stress Thoroughly clean the facial area with a mild cleanser to remove make up and any grease build up. Apply Oxy Spray to the facial area. Apply Bioptron lamp to full frontal facial area for 12 minutes. Lamp distance (Pro & B2) 8 -12 inches. Youll feel a relaxing, yet invigorating warmth (temperature is 37 c. normal body temperature). After light therapy treatment, re-apply Oxy Spray to the treatment area and allow to dry thoroughly.

BIOPTRON VIP (Visible Incoherent Polarized) Light Therapy technology WHAT IS POLARIZED LIGHT? Polarized light is defined as light waves that move in one plane only. Laser light diffuses in a similar manner but unlike BIOPTRON, it consists of only one wavelength. This means that it is monochromatic light, whereas BIOPTRON is polychromatic (emission of multiple wave-lengths or colors). The wavelength of BIOPTRON is between 480 - 3400 nm (nanometers). WHAT IS BIOSTIMULATION THROUGH POLARIZED LIGHT? BIOPTRON Light has bio-stimulative effects: when applied to the skin it stimulates light-sensitive intracellular structures and molecules. This initiates cellular chain reactions and triggers so-called secondary responses, which are not limited to the treated area. STIMULATES AND MODULATES BIOPTRON Light Therapy stimulates and modulates reparative and regenerative processes as well as the processes of the human defense system. ACTS IN A NATURAL WAY BIOPTRON Light Therapy acts in a natural way by supporting the regenerative capacity of the body and therefore helps the body to release its own healing potential.

WHEN AND WHERE WAS THE EFFECT OF POLARIZED LIGHT DISCOVERED? By 1966 the first lasers had been developed that could achieve a biostimulation effect on human cells. In 1981 a team of biophysicists and doctors conducting research into the biological effects of low level laser light came up with the idea of developing a polarized light-emitting device that did not have the negative parameters of a laser. development of the BIOPTRON Lamp. In 1988 the first BIOPTRON Lights were manufactured and sold to various professional users and to the public. They are manufactured under strict guidelines in Switzerland by Bioptron BA.

WHAT IS THE LIFE EXPECTATION OF THE LIGHT SOURCE? In most cases it lasts a lifetime... The bulb may need replacing after approximately 20,000 x 6minute treatments. The lamp should be sent back 26

HOW SHOULD THE SKIN BE PREPARED BEFORE THE THERAPY? Clean the skin thoroughly by using a mild cleansing milk or skin cleanser before treatment so that the light won't be distracted through reflecting particles on the skin (oil, perspiration, etc). Wounds should be disinfected before treatment. Oxy Sterile Spray should be sprayed lightly before applying the light treatment to enhance the treatment process and again at conclusion.

CAN THE BIOPTRON PENETRATE THROUGH CLOTHING OR WOUND DRESSINGS? It is recommended to shine the BIOPTRON light directly onto clean bare skin. Shining the light through clothing will diminish and may even negate the effect of the therapy. Regarding wound dressings; Opsite, Adaptic and Tegaderm wound dressings do not significantly reduce the effects of BIOPTRON Light Therapy. With thicker bandages and wound dressings that may reduce the penetration and effectiveness of the light, one can treat the bare skin area immediately around the dressing. This will cause a positive and rapid increase in blood supply to the wound area, as well as activating the local immune response to accelerate the body's reparative processes. WHAT SHOULD THE DISTANCE BE BETWEEN THE SKIN AND THE LAMP? The light should be focused at a right angle (90o) from a distance of approximately 5 cm from the skin on the area to be treated. Increase the distance to 10 cm for the BIOPTRON Pro1 and BIOPTRON 2 units. For joint pain, one can place the lamp directly onto the skin. For the treatment of inflammation, one should use a larger distance due to the temperature sensitivity. Skin temperature rises during light treatment by approximately 1degree. HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE EFFECT OF THE BIOPTRON LAMP OPTIMALLY? Spray a thin layer of Oxy Sterile Spray onto the skin. Apply at beginning and conclusion of treatment. Replacement cans may be purchased from Lumia Science. Through the help of this unique spray, the skin gets supplied with more oxygen and the infection risk is reduced. Other preparations may also benefit results such as Oxy-Pads or Swissological Skin Care products from www.lumiascience.com CAN BIOPTRON BE USED ON THE EYES? Yes. The light is absorbed via the eyes or the skin. For comfort the eyes may be closed during eye treatments but no harm will occur if they are open. The BIOPTRON Light will pass through the eyelid easily. IS THIS LIGHT SIMILAR TO THE INFRARED LAMP? Not at all. Whilst the spectrum of the BIOPTRON contains a fractional amount of infrared, the wavelength of the light is much broader. There are no thermal (heat) hazards with the BIOPTRON Light Therapy System .

COULD THE LIGHT CAUSE CANCER IN ANY WAY? No! The dangerous light range for cancer is low UV at 250 nm (nanometers) and below. The BIOPTRON's lowest range is 480 nm. CAN I DO ANYTHING WRONG WHILE APPLYING THE BIOPTRON LIGHT? Wrong handling only reduces the optimal effect of the BIOPTRON light. Wrong application cannot lead to any health hazard! It is similar to a walk on a bright sunny day without the UV rays. MUST I CONSULT A MEDICAL DOCTOR BEFORE APPLICATION? No, but if no notable improvement can be achieved, consult a health care practitioner who has experience with BIOPTRON light therapy. WILL I GET A TAN FROM EXPOSURE TO LIGHT & COLOUR THERAPY? No, you cannot get sunburn or a skin tan from exposure to the light, as there are no UV rays present which are the rays responsible for tanning. CAN INFANTS BE TREATED WITH THE BIOPTRON LAMP AS WELL? Yes. It is ideal for young babies due to the non-invasive nature. MAY BIOPTRON BE USED BY PEOPLE WITH HEART PACEMAKERS? People with heart pacemakers may use the BIOPTRON light provided they don't touch the actual light unit whilst undergoing treatments. Pacemaker wearers should utilize the BIOPTRON stand during treatments to prevent the BIOPTRON unit from coming into direct contact with their body. MAY PREGNANT WOMEN USE THE BIOPTRON? Pregnant women may use the light but it should not be applied to the abdominal area during pregnancy as this could stimulate the unborn baby. CAN THE BIOPTRON LAMP BE APPLIED TOO OFTEN? No. Applying more often or longer than prescribed usually cannot increase the local effect. However, in some cases more frequent treatments will result in a more rapid SYSTEMIC effect as blood photo modulation is increased. It is recommended that after each 5-7 day treatment period, BIOPTRON treatments be discontinued for 2 days, and then resumed. AT WHAT TIME OF THE DAY IS IT BEST TO USE THE BIOPTRON LAMP? Morning and evening. Much more important than the time of day, is that you have time for the treatment and you can relax while applying the light therapy.
