DENR-NCR ECOLOGY CENTER Vision Clearing the paths while laying new foundations to transform the Polytechnic University of the Philippines into an epistemic community. I. ACKNOWLEDGMENT I want to acknowledge to all the people who really help me to accomplish my OJT (on the job training) especially in DENR-NCR Ecology Center to giving me a chance to accommodate to their office as a trainee. I want to thank you to God for his guidance to make my OJT happy and enjoying and also to Mrs. Clemencia A. Marquez because she accepts us to become her trainee in DENR-NCR and for her willingness to help and accepts the students like me. I also thank to Mrs. Corazon G. Almazan for her advices and sharing a knowledge even we have a mistakes but she didnt get angry to me instead she explain it again to understand more and do our task well and also to all staff of DENR especially in Personnel Section because of them I learned something new that I never experienced before in my life. II. INTRODUCTION In our course Diploma in office Management and Technology we are required to fine the offices that we accepts as there OJTs there company. For me it is not easy because not unlike the other course we are not a Bachelor degree. As a first year student of Polytechnic University of the Philippines taking an Office Management and Technology we felt nervous because every company that we try to apply as their OJT they are always said that we are first year students only and they know that only 3rd year and graduating students are only required to undergo the on the job training. DENR-NCR is one the government department who accepts us to become their OJT and they never failed us, for all the time that we are in DENR-NCR I do my best for the entire task that given to me.

OBSERVATIONS IN THE COMPANY What I have observed at DENR-NCR Ecology Center are, they work together happy and they have care to each other all the time. The strength and challenges of this company is that they have a respect to each other and they also have an ethical attitude but sometimes the challenges of this company is a missed communicating to each other. I think the best practice of this company is
I think the best practice in DENR-NCR is communicating in other people and recording some transaction in other government department. We also practice our mathematics skills because theres a lot computation especially in finance section and personnel section because we compute the salary of employees, absences, leaves and also there bonus. They are enhancing your ability to mingle in different kinds of people.

My over-all observation in the DENR-NCR is they have ability to accommodate the students who needs to undergo an On the Job Training but the building is until now is on the under construction. V. PERIODIC REPORTS (daily, weekly, monthly)
What we do daily are the following:

During my whole training in DENR-NCR Ecology Center, I think the problem/s that I have encountered are there building because the building is on under construction and they lack of equipments and tools.

OJT PORTFOLIO VII. SELF-ASSESSMENT A. Skills and current technology learned/enforced: The skills that and current technology that I learned on my OJT are ability to print the files, scan it and also photo copying the documents using the Xerox machine, and sometimes I use the fax machine to send some files in other section or offices.

B. Equipment, tools, testing apparatus handled (softwares used included) I use the other equipments, tools testing apparatus that I handled are Xerox machine, fax machine, telephones, continues printer and computer using the other application in computer like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point and MS Publisher.

C. Strong points versus weak points My strong points when it comes to office work are recording and filing the documents because it is the work that I done easily but I also have weak points this is the answering telephone calls because I feel nervous and I dont know what the word that I use is.

OJT PORTFOLIO VII. SELF-ASSESSMENT D. Best experiences on the job: The best experienced that I encountered in DENR-NCR Ecology Center are every time that they give me a task and they always said that I did my work fast and correct and also when we called RED (Regional Executive Director) to go at the front of flag ceremony because we felt nervous and shy. E. Evidence of Background preparation: Faults committed (its causes and suggestion given by the supervisor) I have a faults commitment in my OJT like computing the Leave Card of the employees but my supervisor are not angry to me. My supervisor Mrs. Corazon Almazan said that to lessen my shy attitude and sometimes I need to mingle with other people especially in all employees of DENRNCR. Personal relationship (integration with the company, attendance and punctuality, and commitment) Comment from co-worker (at least 3 person) Person 1:
As an OJT in the DENR-NCR, Irene also report to office on time. She make it point to do well on her assignment given to her, although she is a shy type but she is very respectful to all employees in the office, so good luck to her and your studies.
