AUTHORITY:

A1. This Airworthiness Notice is issued under the authority vested in DG CAA vide Rule No. 4 of Civil Aviation Rules 1994

B.

PURPOSE:

B1. The purpose of this Airworthiness Notice is to prescribe the requirement for compliance with instructions issued vide Notices.

C.

SCOPE:

C1. This Airworthiness Notice is applicable to all operators and individuals engaged in aviation activity.

GENERAL:

D2.1. The Airworthiness Notices, hereinafter referred to as Notices, are issued by the Airworthiness Directorate of Civil Aviation Authority. The Notices are a means of circulating essential information of an administrative or technical nature to all Civil Aircraft Owners / Organizations & Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. These Notices are published as a guide and are intended to highlight important operational and maintenance requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority.

COMPLIANCE:

D3.1 Instructions contained in these Notices are to be observed by all concerned, and where dates/periods are given for compliance with such instructions, the specified date / period must not be exceeded, except by prior written authority of the Director Airworthiness.

D4.

DECLARATION OF COMPLIANCE:

D4.1 A declaration by the Chief Engineer of the Organization* that all applicable Notices have been complied with on the subject aircraft will be a mandatory condition for the renewal of a Certificate of Airworthiness of that aircraft. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are required to show proof that they are in possession of, and familiar with, all current Notices. *For Airlines it is Chief Engineer (QC/Airworthiness Management)

D5.1 Any inquiries as to the supply or technical contents of these Notices should be made to the Director Airworthiness, Civil Aviation Authority, Inspectorate Building, JIAP, Karachi.
