Dr Quamina-Yorke, on behalf of National Security Minister Senator the Honourable Emmanuel George, spoke at a prizedistribution ceremony for the Marabella Basketball team. They were the second place winners of the Hoop of Life Community Basketball League. Dr Quamina-Yorke said history will record the game, which saw two communities branded as at risk come together and fight for first place. THE RAINY SEASON IS HERE! Citizens are reminded of some tips to ensure personal safety and that of their property . Before a flood Secure all important documents such as birth certificates, passports and the like in water proof bags or sealed containers. Make sure all family members know what immediate actions to take to ensure their personal safety. Prepare a Family Evacuation Plan. During a flood Stay calm. Listen to the radio or television for updated information. Turn off utilities such as electricity, gas and water at the main switches. Do not touch electrical equipment if you are standing in water or wet. After the flood Do not touch live electrical equipment in wet areas. Do not consume food that has come into contact with flood waters. WELCOME! The Ministry of National Security welcomes the Undergraduates who will be with us for the next two months.
