In-Game Support
Find more information about the game here. 1. What are the controls in Rakion? - In Rakion, we use both the mouse and keyboard to control the character's movement and attack. Click here to find out more. 2. What are the different game modes that I can play? - Rakion has four PvP game modes. Click here to find out more information about each mode. If you prefer a solo PvE game, you can also try Rakion's Stage mode, where each stage has a different objective or goal to accomplish and you must battle against various monsters with different difficulty levels and skills. Stage mode also allows you to team up with friends or random players. If you are a member of a clan, you can also try Clan War, which pits two clans against each other. 3. What are the different characters that I can play? - Rakion has five different character classes with different skill sets for you to enjoy. Click on each class below to find out more information. Swordsman Archer Blacksmith Mage Ninja 4. What are Creatures? - Creatures are non-playable characters that can be summoned in-game to aid you in battle. Rakion has many different creatures and creature types, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Up to three creatures can be summoned in-game. 5. What is a Clan? - A Clan is a social group composed of users with similar ideas and opinions. Users may opt to join a clan and can enjoy clan-only benefits like Clan Chat and Clan War. Check out the Clan Guide to find out more information on how to create and manage a Clan. 6. How do I check my in-game information on the Rakion website? Log in to the Rakion homepage. Your Game Info will be displayed on the right-hand side of the website, as you can see on the screenshot below.

Your Game Info shows your main character's total ranking, number of inventory boxes, clan, last played IP address, Gold and Cash amount. 7. In My Game Info, what does the My Rakion button do? Clicking on the My Rakion button will bring up a new window that contains information on three sections: My Character Info: Displays detailed information about each of your active characters. My Trade History: Displays your latest in-game transactions (Buy, Sale, Gift, Stamp List, U.L.I., Ex-item). Only the records from the last six months will be displayed. My Item: Displays the list of items that are currently in your inventory or equipped on your character.

8. How do I change my main character? Log in to the Rakion homepage. Click on My Rakion to bring up your Character Info page. On the My Game Info section, go to 'Set Character for default'.

Pick the character you wish to use as main from the dropdown menu and click Ok. The next time you log in, your new main character will be displayed on My Game Info. 9. How do I delete a character? - Characters can only be deleted in-game. To delete a character, go to the Character Selection screen. Click on the character you wish to delete, and click Delete. Once a character is deleted, the character slot will be closed. You will need to pay 30,000 Gold to be able to open the slot again and create a new character. Some conditions must be met before you can delete a character: The character to be deleted must be older than 7 days. The character must have unequipped all items. Also, note that any PU points equipped on a character will be deleted along with that character. Please take care to re-assign your PU points first before character deletion. 10. How do I take a screenshot in Rakion? - Rakion does not have a native function to take screenshots. Currently, the only way to capture screenshots in Rakion is by using your computer's PrintScreen function. Follow these steps to capture a screenshot: 1. When you are ready to take the screenshot, press the PrtScr button on your keyboard next to the F12 key. 2. Go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint. 3. Press Ctrl + V on your keyboard to paste the screenshot. 3|Page

4. Click on File -> Save as -> *.JPG. 11. Can you give me items/gold/cash? - No. GMs do not give out items except in events. Please stop asking. You are wasting our time and yours. 12. Are there any other instances where you do give out items/gold/cash to players? - At their discretion, GMs and Softnyx management may choose to reward players who are the first to report undiscovered in-game bugs/glitches or third-party hack programs. (Hack tool must be working)

Account Information
Find more information about your account here - account security, retrieval, accessibility, etc. If your account has been hacked, read the guidelines on how to recover it here. 1. Why am I not receiving mail from Softnyx? - Mails from Softnyx are sometimes flagged as [Spam] or [Junk] by some email providers. Please check your Spam/Junk folders first. To ensure that you will receive emails from us, please add administrator@softnyx.net to your contact list. 2. Why do I need to verify my email address? How do I verify my email address? - Email verification is required in order for you to be able to use the in-game chat function. Follow these steps to verify your email address: 1. Log in to the Rakion homepage. Click on My Info under the My Game Info section. 2. On the Update My Info page, click on Email Verification. An email message from Softnyx will be sent to your registered email address. 3. Check your email to view the message. Click on Verify. 4. Your account will be automatically verified. You may now use the in-game chat function. 3. I forgot my Security Question/password/email address etc. and need help retrieving it. What do I do? Be advised that before we can help you retrieve any information regarding your account, you must first prove to us that you are indeed the owner of the account. This is to deter any potential account hackers from gaining unauthorized access to user accounts. Before we can give out any account information, the user must verify their ownership of the account by providing information on the following:

1. Security Question 2. Registered email address 3. For accounts with cash charge records: prepaid card code / bulk cash reseller account name and bulk cash code / other transaction numbers that have been charged to the user's account. It is best to save all transaction records for this purpose. 4. 3 OLDEST passwords 5. Information on deleted characters over level 15: name, class, level/stats, creation and deletion dates. We do not require information on active characters, as this is readily available on the website under My Game Info. 6. Month and year when the account was created. 4. What do I need to do to recover my hacked account? Users are required to report their hacked accounts within 7 days of the hacked date. As with question #3, we require account verification to ensure that the user reporting is also the real owner of the account. We need the following information to be able to help recover your account: 1. Security Question 2. Registered email address 3. For accounts with cash charge records: prepaid card code / bulk cash reseller account name and bulk cash code / other transaction numbers that have been charged to the user's account. Information on deleted characters over level 15: name, class, level/stats, creation and deletion dates. We do not require information on active characters, as this is readily available on the website under My Game Info. 6. Month and year when the account was created. Next, list down all of the items that you lost, as well as any unauthorized purchases on your account. Note: You must copy ONLY the lost items/unauthorized purchases to be rolled back. Follow the steps below: 1. Check your BUY LOG at My Trade History. Select and copy all items that were bought without your permission (format: CharacterName / Item / Before / Price / Purchase Date). 2. Check your Sale log at My Trade History. Select and copy all items that were sold without your permission (format: CharacterName / Item / Before / Price / Sale Date). 6. Is it possible to recover characters that were deleted by a hacker? As with other hack cases, deleted characters must be reported within 7 days. You will still need to provide your account information for verification (refer to questions 3, 4, or 5 under Account Information) and the characters that had been deleted. Note that characters under level 15 cannot be restored, as we do not keep records of characters under level 15. 7. What items cannot be restored? While we try our best to restore ALL the items that a user has lost, some items are still out of our power to restore due to their respective qualities. These items include: - Refinery/enchant items/gems, Timed/limited duration items, Potions, Event points, Capsules, Stat buff, Stamps, Stat resets and other Ex-items 8. I have been scammed through the Post System! How do I recover my scammed item? Some players have resorted to Rakion's Post System to trade items. Because this is not a dedicated trade system, we cannot guarantee your item's security. Nevertheless, if you have been scammed by another player through the post system, you may ask our help to recover the item. For more info can visit this link To do so, we will need the following information: 1. The name of the player you traded with. Please give us the correct character name.

2. The items that you agreed to exchange. List down all the items and their details (enchants, sockets, etc.). 3. A screenshot of your conversation regarding the trade. The conversation must show both of you agreeing to trade the items. Send the information and screenshot to Mail Q&A > Lost Items category. Our Customer Service representatives will try to help you resolve the problem.

Technical Issues
If you are having technical problems with the game, check this section to see if your problem has a solution. 1. What are the system requirements for Rakion? Check the table below:

2. What are the P2P ports for Rakion? For users who experience latency problems while playing Rakion, one solution is to open P2P ports if you are using a router to connect to the internet.

Download and install the latest FIRMWARE patch for your router (visit your router's manufacturer website for firmware information) and set port forwarding to "2300-2399 UDP". On your antivirus or firewall settings, put an exception for these ports so that your antivirus program or firewall can allow Rakion to connect without any problems. You can find out how to set exceptions by visiting your antivirus or firewall manufacturer. 3. How do I run Rakion on Windows Vista or Windows 7 OS? There are certain cases wherein Rakion does not run automatically on newer Windows systems. If you are having problems running Rakion on your Vista or Win 7 system, follow the steps below to resolve: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Go to your Rakion folder. The default location is C:/Program Files/Softnyx/RakionIS/ Right-click on NyxLauncher.exe and click on Properties. A new window will pop up. Click on the Compatibility tab. Under the Compatibility Mode section, check: Run this program in compatibility mode for: In the dropdown menu, choose Windows XP. Under the Privilege Level section, check: Run this program as an administrator. Click Ok. Restart Rakion.

4. I am getting a "Fatal Error... Cannot Set Display Mode" message. What to do? This is for users who encounter the following message:

Run the Softnyx launcher > Select Rakion > Click Game Option > Check box - "Adjust Refresh Rate Automatically"

If the problem persists, check your game's resolution on the Game Option menu. Note that Rakion only supports 4:3 ratio -- any other resolution than the ones listed below may cause problems with the game graphics.

5. I am getting a "Cannot reload file... Cannot upload compressed texture" message. What to do? - If you are getting this message whenever you try to start Rakion, this could only mean that your graphic card does not support Rakion. Click here to find out the system requirements for Rakion. 6. My anti-virus program/firewall won't let Rakion run! What do I do? Check to make sure that Rakion has been allowed by your firewall or anti-virus program to run. If not, you will need to add the entire Rakion folder to your firewall/anti-virus exception/allowed list. The steps to do so are different for each firewall or anti-virus program, so please visit your program's manufacturer homepage to find out how to add to their exception or allowed programs list. If you are running the native Windows Firewall, follow these steps to add Rakion to its exception list: 1. Go to Start > Control Panel. Click on System and Security. 2. Under Windows Firewall, click on 'Allow a program through Windows Firewall'. 3. Check the list of programs under Exceptions to see if Rakion (rakion.bin) has been included. Check the box to include it. 4. If there is no Rakion file, you will need to add the program to the list. To do so, click the 'Add Program' button. 5. On the new window that pops up, click on Browse and navigate to your Rakion folder (default folder should be C:\Program Files\Softnyx\RakionIS). 6. Choose Nyxlauncher.exe > Add Program. Click Ok. 7. Restart your computer. 7. Nothing happens after I click 'Start Game' on the launcher. Launcher diappears, but Rakion does not load. If your launcher disappears after clicking 'Start Game' without the game starting up, the problem may be due to a high level packing to update the anti-hack system. Follow the steps below: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Click on Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System. Click on Advanced System Properties. On the Performance section, click Settings. Click Data Execution Prevention. Click 'Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only'. Click Ok. Restart your computer.

8. I am getting a "Web Module Error" message. What to do? This is for users who encounter the following error message:

This is an issue with our anti-hacking system. Please follow the steps below to resolve: 1. Completely uninstall and reinstall Rakion. Restart your computer. 2. Go to C:\Program Files\Softnyx\RakionIS\Bin\avital (default game folder). 3. Open the file config.ini. If you are prompted, open with Notepad. 4. Look for this line: [DownLoadParam] TimeOutMillSec = 6000. 5. Replace 6000 with 10000 then save and close the document. You can also increase this value to 15000 if the problem persists. 6. Restart Rakion. 9. The game is running/loading too slowly. What is the problem? - Rakion may be running too slowly on your computer due to too many other processes running in the background. You may do the following to help ease the load on your computer. 1. Check your process list and end unnecessary programs to free up RAM. On your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and click 'Start Task Manager'. Go to the Processes tab. Select the program you wish to end, and click 'End Process'. 2. Update Windows, and your computer's hardware drivers. To update Windows, click Start > Programs > Windows Update. 3. Scan your computer for any viruses or malware that may be slowing it down. 10. My technical issue hasn't been answered! What else can I do? - If you are still having problems with Rakion, or if these FAQs were not able to answer your question, you will need to contact Mail Q&A >Technical Problem/Bug with your problem and the following information: DxDiag file: Your computer's DirectX diagnosis. 1. Click Start > Run. 2. Type dxdiag on the blank field and click Ok. 3. The "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" window will pop up. Click the 'Save All Information' button. 4. Save the file as DxDiag.txt. Screenshot of the error message, if any. 1. As soon as an error message appears, press the PrtScr button on your keyboard. 2. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Paint. 3. Send the two files (DxDiag.txt, Error.jpg) to Q&A > Technical Problem/Bug as a .Zip file. If you cannot attach the files, upload it to a file-sharing website like sendspace.com and send us the download link. Our Technical team will help you resolve the problem. 11. Banned Account Information


We've listed the most common ban reasons to help you better understand why your account has been banned, and what you can do to for it to be released. 1. I have been banned! Ban Reason: AbuserCheck. - Users who have been banned with this reason had been caught by the system abusing the game by "swapping" kills. This means that two or more users purposely set up rooms wherein one side loses on purpose so that the other side can accumulate exp and gold illegally. This also refers to users to fix the game by winning or losing each round alternately. The penalty follows: 1. The account is banned for 7 days. 2. 30%-50% (depends on number of offenses on record) will be deducted from your abusing character's exp. 3. All gold purchases made within a month from the date you were banned will be rolled back. 4. Cells reset t level 1 5. Delete all event points if caught during events Continuous abuse may result in a permanent ban. 2. I have been banned! Ban Reason: Duplicate Login. Duplicate Login bans only last for 3 hours. This is a security measure by the system whenever it detects unusual login activity in your account. Unusual login activity means that the system detected someone else trying to log in to your account while it is still active. This could mean either of the following:

1. You may have logged out of the game, and logged back in too quickly. The system may not have flagged the account as logged out and mistook this scenario as someone else logging in to your account. 2. Another user is trying to log in to your account while you are still logged on. If you think that someone may be trying to hack your account, please change your password immediately. It may also be a good idea to change the email address registered to your Softnyx account. If you have been sharing your account with another user, we suggest that you stop this practice immediately. Softnyx does not allow account sharing, and will not help with any problems that arise from this, should we be able to determine that you have indeed been sharing your account. 3. I have been banned! Ban Reason: Hack Used/Stage Hacking. - If your account has been banned with this reason, it means that the system or one of our Rakion GMs has caught you using a 3rd-party hack program in-game. This is a permanent ban, however, you may still appeal for your account's release by submitting the hack program that you used to Mail Q&A > Hack Program Report. You may also send the program to crack2@softnyx.co.kr. If you cannot attach the program directly, upload it to a file-sharing website like Sendspace.com and send us the download link. After you have sent us a working hack program, your account will be released with penalties. The penalty list can be found here. 4. I have been banned! Ban Reason: Warning - Do not use Hack. - As the ban reason states, this is a warning ban which lasts for 30 days. The system may have detected suspicious files in your computer and has banned your account as a warning. If you have any 3rd-party hack programs in your computer, now is the best time to remove them all, otherwise the next ban may be permanent. If you do not have any hack programs in your computer, we suggest that you completely uninstall and reinstall Rakion to clear your files. You should also completely scan your computer for any viruses and malware that could be causing problems.
