Artist Statement
Hello and welcome, My art is full of thick lines, colorful and free flowing shapes, funky scenes and complex compositions. I access personal experiences such as flying with Australian super hornet pilots or learning to walk 6 months after a near fatal snowboarding accident. Sometimes, I find pleasure in the day-to-day truths, like the way a persons face falls when they are made to pay for something. My goal in art is to find captivating concepts that are intelligent, fresh and original. My art needs no explanation but it has a story to tell. I appreciate the complex history surrounding art and love it when a great concept is communicated well. I like to use pencil, ink, pen, watercolor, crayon, oils, rocks, string, glue, motion picture, effects, smoke, the landscape, pretty-much anything! I try and use everything at my disposal.

In 2012 I assisted in managing the production of the Arts and Cultural aspects of The Peats Ridge festival as well as creating a kinetic light installation. The sustainable approach to Peats Ridge encourages artists to consider the wider influences of their work, especially in terms of resource allocation and waste disposal. Designed, funded, recruited labor and constructed a kinetic light installation Created and managed artist contracts, inquiries and expensive digital artworks Wrote copy for artist biographies, selected relevant media and published information on the company website Liaised with various artists and artist groups throughout the festival and construction process, ensuring satisfaction, resourcefulness and safety
