Choke Manifold

The Halliburton Testing and Subsea Choke Manifold enables an operator to manually control the well stream at the surface by means of an adjustable or xed choke. The choke provides the operator with either progressive manual, powered, or xed control of the well by opening or closing the choke orice. Design of the choke manifold allows operators to limit erosion that occurs from the very high velocities at and immediately downstream of the orice - to the replaceable parts within the choke. The Halliburton Choke Manifold is available with 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) or 15,000 psi (103.4 MPa) working pressures and 5-gate valve or 8-valve block and bleed versions. On one side, an adjustable choke allows more exible control for wellbore cleanup rates. On the other side is a positive choke to give more accurate ow control for predetermined uids for various test procedures. By using the valves and adjustable choke, the operator can change the positive choke without stopping operations or aecting test objectives. Features Adjustable and positive chokes to help maintain a constant ow rate, which improves test data quality. Designed for easy maintenance during operations and lower overall redress cost due to its component design. 8-valve choke manifold, utilized as part of solids management packages, allows safer control through the use of double block and bleed valves. Meets applicable industry standards (API 6A) and can be certied through third parties, as required. Benets 5-valve versions of the 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) and 15,000 psi (103.4 MPa) choke manifolds are equipped with a center bypass valve, allowing more options during cleanup operations. 8-valve versions of the 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) and 15,000 psi (103.4 MPa) choke manifolds are equipped with two hydraulicactuated primary valves on the upstream side of the manifold. Data headers can be integrated into the choke manifold design and skid. Blanking caps on all versions are drilled and tapped to 9/16-in. autoclave.
