Definition
A compressed gas or vapor that has a median lethal concentration (LC50) in air of 200 parts per million (ppm) by volume, or 2 milligrams per liter of mist, fume, or dust, when administered by continuous inhalation for one hour (or less if death occurs within one hour) to albino rats weighing between 200 and 300 grams each. A NFPA 704 Health Hazard rating of 3 is given to vapors having an LC50 from 2 to 10 mg/l. Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals Part 3, Health Hazards (http://www.unece.org/trans/danger/publi/ghs/ghs_rev02/English/03e_part3.pdf); United Nations, 2007 Inhalation Gases a. b. c. d. e.
