THINGS THAT HOLD DOWN MEN'S DESTINIES

Men’s destinies are always their views of future's change.

Therefore, men of underworld were being confused through the
following manipulations of encounters such as:
1. Public opinion,
2. Tradition,
3. Past failure,
4. Greediness,
5. Relying on one's ability,
6. Poor spiritual vision,
7. Unrealized Ambition
8. Fear
1. Public opinion: When we talk of public opinion, it often occurs
when a man tries to move to the next level in life or when one
needs to change position or altitude. This seems to be that you
are breaking the rule/law, people around will start murmuring or
gossiping about your change, but an adage says, “A wise son is
always delightful in his rightful way”. Therefore, you do not
have to displease your self in order to please others rather
you have to make it a clear decision of vision. When you
please yourself in such an occasion, watch out what will
happen in near by future; you will find out that it will bore a nice
and precious fruit for you. Those gossiping you will come and
congratulate you not only congratulating you, they will like to
know the secret, not only knowing the secret, they will like to
follow you, not only following you, and they will like you to teach
them. A piece of advice for you to consider is “DON’T MIND
ANY DISTRACTION OR DISCRIMINATION ON YOUR WAY
TO ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS/DREAMS

2. Tradition: This is the most occurrence and fragile in man’s life, it

due affects people of African nation. Tradition is what set and
formed from days of old; it has transferred from generation to
generation. It is also named custom or culture ( peoples ways
to life and living)
Some people’s culture instances of tradition.
A. The first born must stay around to take care of the family
B. The first daughter must get married before others
C. Sons will worship and serve their grandfathers idols or gods
D. People from the community won’t wear a foreign clothes or
food
E. They won’t welcome a stranger to their home
F. They won’t communicate fully with a stranger
G. A stranger is their enemies
H. The first son must get married before others
I. The first son or daughter will graduate before others
J. The first daughter will not marry outside their home unless
they have a son and lots
If people follow or abide by tradition, that means the world will
become dormant and no new development will arise and no one
will make a stand i.e. Family ties or believe will hold the family or
community progress down for a long period, thereby making them
non-responsive. In the community today, you can fine a beautiful
woman like an angel but family believes/tradition will not allow her to
get married. In such situation, you will find out that in a family of five
(5) girls, only 2 will be able to get married while others will be dump
out. An adage says when a breadfruit reaches its time, it falls.
Therefore any opportunity that comes your way, try and seize it to be
yours don’t loose it because of one reason or the other. Do not count
on olden rules and regulations, but try to focus on the future to realize
your vision and dreams so you can make it in life.
Dear, tradition, religion and other similar issues holds down man’s
destinies .in religion you may see a lady rejecting a man because he
don’t have same believe with her. One will not focus on the above
reasons to miss his/her opportunity when it counts for exaltation or
enlistment in life. (Excitation)
A tradition is a practice, custom, or story that is memorized and passed
down from generation to generation, originally without the need for a
writing system. Tools to aid this process include poetic devices such as
rhyme and alliteration. The stories thus preserved are also referred to as
tradition, or as part of an oral tradition
The word tradition comes from the Latin traditionem, acc. of tradition
which means "handing over, passing on", and is used in a number of ways in
the English language:
1. Beliefs or customs taught by one generation to the next, often orally.
For example, we can speak of the tradition of sending birth
announcements.
2. A set of customs or practices. For example, we can speak of Christmas
traditions.
3. A broad religious movement made up of religious denominations or
church bodies that have a common history, customs, culture, and, to
some extent, body of teachings. For example, one can speak of Islam's
Sufi tradition or Christianity's Lutheran tradition.
However, on a more basic theoretical level, tradition(s) can be seen as
information or composed of information. For that which is brought into the
present from the past, in a particular societal context, is information? This is
even more fundamental than particular acts or practices even if repeated over
a long sequence of time.

3. Past failure; an adage says that “fail vs. retrying is called

willingness and when it matures, it is called success” with this
simple rule u are a success achiever. So when one stays ad
rethink about his past experience breakdown, maybe in
education, business, politics or endeavors and you let it pull you
down or sets you in bad motion, that is another starting point of
letdown in your life.
Instead of living a life of free mind, to press forward in getting
your dreams actualize, you are there remembering and
recounting what has already passed to the dead. In the actual
sense, you are trying to make your self a tweak abandoned and
rejected. When you think about your collapse, you know u are
about to have a crash down. If you want to make it, you don’t
have to look back on your malfunction in education, business,
family, friendship or political background. Remember an adage
says “the downfall of a man is not the end of his life” today’s
saying is that a man of straightforward is the main man for
success. When you are truly doing what is right, you will surely
make it in life. You won’t hold your past failure in high school
and rejecting furthering your studies, likewise in business, all
you need is to know is that a runner never gets tired till the last
whistle is brown. All you need to do is to put effort and increase
your study time and rest your mind to increase your % of
reasoning. Don’t think about your failure unless you have
decided to fail again. You can only remember the past when
you want to write about biography. As far as you are still on your
way of achieving your dreams, you have to lay hold on your
futures and set goals.

4. Greediness; greediness arises when one tries to jealous for

another person’s progress. GREEDINESS.
1. Excessively desirous of acquiring or possessing, especially wishing to
possess more than what one needs or deserves.
2. Wanting to eat or drink more than one can reasonably consume;
gluttonous.
3. Extremely eager or desirous: greedy for the opportunity to prove their
ability
4. having or showing a selfish desire for wealth and

control oil wealth, by a desire to implant our programs. (talking about
the Iraq war)

If the firms that employ an increasing majority of the population are

driven solely to satisfy the owner's greed at the expense of working
conditions, of the stability of the community, and of the health of the
environment, chances are that the quality of our lives will be worse
than it is now.

Most of the time common stocks are subject to irrational and

excessive price fluctuations in both directions as the consequence of
the ingrained tendency of most people to speculate or gamble... to
give way to hope, fear and greed.
Benjamin Graham - Stock Market - Investing - Greed - Fear

If you think of life as like a big pie, you can try to hold the whole pie
and kill yourself trying to keep it, or you can slice it up and give some
to the people around you, and you still have plenty left for yourself.
Jay Leno - Greed - Life - Philanthropy

I think one of the most misunderstood things about business in

America is that people are either doing things for altruistic reasons or
they are greedy and selfish, just after profit. That type of dichotomy
portrays a false image of business. It certainly is a false image of
Whole Foods. The whole idea is to do both: The animals have to
flourish, but in such a way that it'll be cheap enough for the
customers to buy it.
John Mackey - Customers - Business - Business Ethics - American -

The nature of any human being, certainly anyone on Wall Street, is

'the better deal you give the customer, the worse deal it is for you'.

You had a lot of novice investors who got into the market looking for

One of the most ironic things about capitalism is that the capitalist will

war with Iraq in order to make it easy for U.S. corporations to do
business in other countries. They intend to use cheap labor in those
countries, which will make Americans rich.

My take on the whole dot-com bubble was that a lot of people who
wanted to make a lot of money got too excited and hyped up the
commercial aspects of the Internet prematurely. I think the vision of
the Internet as a democratizing medium.. as everyone's printing
press.. is real. We got distracted from that by the mass hallucinations
of the bubble.
Craig Newmark - Greed - Internet - Money - Media

We've poured our poisons into the world as though it were a

bottomless pit.. and we go on gobbling them up. It's hard to imagine
how the world could survive another century of this abuse, but

have to solve, or their children.

5. Relying on man; in today’s society and community, things are

fallen apart because young talents are ravishing in sense of
relying on men’s wealth, like considering Africa as an example;
they rely on white man’s wealth and technology, that’s why
Africa is poor till date.

6. Poor vision; men of poor spiritual vision are always servant to

great man.

7. Fear; les brown says “fear does not have any special power unless
you empower it by submitting to it. Fear is an emotional response to
threats and danger. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to
a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of pain. Psychologists John B.
Watson, Robert Plutchik, and Paul Ekman have suggested that fear is one of
a small set of basic or innate emotions. This set also includes such emotions
as joy, sadness, and anger. Fear should be distinguished from the related
emotional state of anxiety, which typically occurs without any external
threat. Additionally, fear is related to the specific behaviors of escape and
avoidance, whereas anxiety is the result of threats which are perceived to be
uncontrollable or unavoidable
