Introduction This document gives supplementary information about the restrictions of Wide Format Scan Service Ver.1.0.0. 2. Notes and Restrictions 2.1. General (1) Wide Format Scan Service does not work as Windows service program. For example, you cannot perform polling without logging on to Windows. (2) Wide Format Scan Service cannot be used by multiple users at the same time, as it does not support "Terminal Service", "Fast User Switching", and "Meta Frame". (3) You cannot activate more than one Wide Format Scan Service on the same pc. It is possible to activate more than one Wide Format Scan Service Viewer. (4) You cannot use Wide Format Scan Service and Xerox Wide Format Network TWAIN Source at the same time. @ @It is possible to use Wide Format Scan Service Viewer and Wide Format Network TWAIN Source at the same time. (5) This software supports only scanned data generated by a supported scanner device. Scanned data edited by software other than Wide Format Scan Service is not supported. For example, PDF data edited by Adobe Acrobat cannot be used even if it is originally scanned by DocuWide 3030MF. (6) The maximum print length is 3276.7mm. (7) To use this program, Microsoft library msvcrt.dll(Ver6.0.8797.0 or later), msvcp60.dll(Ver6.0.8972.0 or later), and mfc42.dll(Ver6.0.8665.0 or later) a re required. If the corresponding dll is not found in the system folder or if they are old version, the dll of the above version will be installed at program installation. 2.2. Mailbox (1) You can set polling (retrieving documents from scanner regularly) service with a mailbox. This is available with only one mailbox. (2) The polling-specified mailbox does not work if the other mailbox is selected at polling time. Do not select a mailbox other than the polling-specified one unless you want to manually retrieve documents from the other mailboxes. (3) If the scanner and computer connection is failed, scanned data may not be displayed properly. (4) The computer may fail to connect to the scanner right after the scanner scans a long document. In this case, please wait for a while and try again. (5) If Wide Format Scan Service is terminated while it is displaying the documen t information, you will not be able to access to the mailbox for maximum 15 minutes. In this case, power off and on the Scanner. Please be considerabl

e about the people who are using the scanner. (6) When you create a new mailbox from Wide Format Scan Service, it is named based on the following rule: "(Scanner name) (Mailbox name entered by the Scanner)" <Example> DocuWide3030 A-Mailbox (if the name specified is A-Mailbox) If the mailbox uses the following marks, the name becomes "Mailbox". \ / : , ; * ? " < > | If the same name already exists, number is added to the end of the name. <Example> DocuWide3030 A-Mailbox(2) It is possible to change mailbox name from file menu. (7) The scanner will not be displayed on the [Scanner List] of [Select a Scanner ] screen if it is in power save mode. In this case, enter the IP address of the scanner in the column of [Enger IP address], and click [Next], or cancel the power save mode of the scanner and click [New Search...]. 2.3. Image Edit (1) The data size must be less than 65535pixels (both in height and width, about 2A0 size) to use Skew Correction. (2) The data must satisfy the following conditions for using Skew Correction: - There is a longitudinal axis (when the data is divided into 4 longitudinal ly, there must be a longitudinal axis on the first area from either of the edg e) - The data is not almost white or black - Tilts degree is less than 5 degrees (3) Despeckling is available with binary data only. (4) The following memory size is required to display long document data or to edit data. Memory shortage may occur even in the following memory is secured, as it is required to acquire memory as continuous domain to process data.
