TODAY Welcome and happy July 4th weekend! Today, Pastor Steve preaches two holiday sermons in both the morning and evening worship service on the theme A Christian Citizen and God Cares about the Nations. Please pray for our Pastoral Intern Micah Shin who is on a 2 week study break to prepare for his ordination exams. 11:00 AM Sunday School & Small Groups 5:30 PM Evening Service THIS WEEK Wednesday Campfire Bible Study @ 7:00 PM Igo Home Wednesday Boys Bible Study @ 7:00 PM Himebook Home Thursday College & Career Movie Night @ 7:00 PM Post Home Friday Beach Day @ 1:00 PM Holland State Park ANNOUNCEMENTS Pastor leaves for Vacation This Friday Pastor Steve and his family will be out west on vacation from Friday, July 12 through July 22. If you need pastoral care at that time, please contact an elder. On Sunday, July 14, Pastor Chris Post will preach in the morning and evening services and on Sunday July 21, Pastor Chris Post will preach in the morning service and Pastoral Intern, Micah Shin will preach in the evening. Special Guest Today we welcome Heidi Carson to Cedar Church. A former Missionary Associate for the OPC, Heidi is a member of a sister church in our presbytery and will be joining Horizons International as an International Student Ministry intern this August. Horizons International is a missions organization that is focused on reaching Muslims around the world but also runs a program for international students in the states. Heidi will be working in Boulder, CO this year. She will give a brief report of her work during the morning prelude and will visit the Catechism Club and the Communicant classes during our Sunday School hour. Next week our benevolent offering will be received to support Heidi Carson and the work of Horizons International.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Church Picnic The annual Church Picnic is schedule for August 24, 4-7pm at the Allendale Community Park (located behind the Township Office, which is located at 6676 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale). Come out for food, fun and fellowship. There will be activities for all ages. Dont forget to add your name to the sign-up sheet. Hikes with Pastor Steve Due to a change in Pastor Steves vacation schedule, this weeks hike has been postponed until July 26. Please join Pastor Steve in two weeks at Aman Park in Allendale beginning at 7:30 PM. Jehovah Jireh Ministries - is looking for a few good men (or women) to help once or twice a month (or more) in the following areas: Monday morning food pickup, Thursday afternoon distribution, Thursday evening - clean building, Friday evening - sort & pack food. Blood Drive - Please give blood on Friday, July 12, at the Hillcrest CRC, 3617 Hillcrest Road, Hudsonville. You may walk in or make an appointment between 11:30 AM and 5:15 PM by calling 1-800RED-CROSS or go to www.redcrossblood.org. Individuals who are 17 years of age may be eligible to give blood. School Supplies - The planning committee for the Community Games event sponsored by several area churches, would like to give away bags of new school supplies to each child that comes to the event. New items that are needed: pencils, glue sticks, erasers, 24 count crayons and ink pens. Please bring your items to Love INC, 3300 Van Buren, Hudsonville by Monday, July 8 and label them Community Games.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Back-to-School Adopters Needed - Love INC is looking for individuals and churches that are willing to adopt a child for back-to-school. Along with school supplies, many children are in need of new clothing items such as pants, t-shirts, socks, underwear and a sweatshirt. If you are interested in helping supply these items to children, please contact Karla at 616-662-3300 ext 130 for specific sizes needed and specific school supplies needed.
