Q:What is OGL & New OGL? Q: what Stands for FRL? Q: What is the formula for surface area and volume of cone? Q; What is the density of steel? Q; What is RFI and Concrete pore card? Q: In M30, what stand for M & 30? Q; what is zero cost? Q: What is vitiation? Q: What is prolongation cost? Q: what is potential risk? Q: What is GAD & GFC drawing? All are requested to answer those question which will be helpful for other too?

Recently I faced one interview where some question asked like below: 1. What is the different component of over head charge? What %age you have to consider for over head? 2. Whether overhead is variable or constant? if variable give one example. 3. How to fix the rate of an excavator? What are the different components of excavator you have to consider while rate analysis? What is the labour rate steel bending-binding-placing? 4. What is the %age of wastage steel to be consider? How much binding wire required to bind 1 tonne steel? 5. How to reconcile material? 6. Do you follow standard book for measurement? Is there anything written in MORTH regarding measurement? 7. Did you ever face any dispute issue with sub-con/vendor? How you analyze that? 8.What is the %age of cement wastage? 9. How to fix a rate of aggregate produce from contractor crusher? What component of crusher do you consider while analyzing rate of aggregates?

It depends if you are consultant or Contractor. Both firms will focus on the money issues. If you are working on FIDIC 1987, please focus and be ready on the following Clause 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1, 7.2, 10.1, 40, 42, 44, 51, 52, 53, 54.3, 55.1, 56.1, 57.1, 57.2, 58, 69, 70

(2) How are these duties and powers different from the powers of the Architect under the JCT RIBA Form of Contract? (3) Study the GENERAL OBLIGATIONS sub clauses very well because it defines the responsibilities of the contractor etc; (4) Critical to 3 above are: (4.1) All the insurance provisions starting with Performance bond, (4.2) Insurance of the works, (4.3) Damage to third Parties & properties, (4.4) Provision to indemnify the Employer etc; (4.5) What do they represent? (5) Commencement time & delays with emphasis on: (5.1) Completion time, (5.2) Extension of time (5.3) L.A damages, (5.4) Bonus for completion, (5.5) Certificate of completion etc; (6) Variations: (6.1) Why should order of variation be in writing? (6.2) What power has the Engineer to fix rate, (6.3) What is a Day work? (6.4) Procedure for claims; (7) Nominated Subcontractors: (7.1) Who is a nominated subcontractor? (7.2) Procedure or mechanism for payment & certification; (8) Certificates & Payment: (8.1)What is an advance payment? (8.2) How is advance payment amortized? (8.3)What is a period of moratorium?
