I. II. Body PLOT Exposition On the Friday before winter break, Sally Jackson packed her son an overnight bag and some deadly weapons. They picked up two of his friends, Annabeth and Thalia, and drove Bar,Harbor Maine. When they got to their destination it was already dark. They drove to a school called Westover Hall. Westover Hall looks like a evil knights castle. When they got there the three enter the school. They met two teachers of the school and ask them who they are. Thalia used the magic of the mist and convinced one of the two teachers that the three of them go to the school. Then Grover saw the three of her friends and gladly congratulates them for arriving. The teachers left the four of them. They asked if Grover found the two demigods

on the school. Grover told them that the Demigods are in the Gymnasium. They went to the Gymnasium and saw the two Demigods. They were Bianca and Nico di Angelo. They danced in the crowd for them not to get noticed by the teachers. Before they realize what was happening, one teacher kidnapped the two Demigods. Leaving his friends, Percy draw his sword, Riptide, and follow the teacher on the cliff. They went outside and the teacher show his true form. He was a manticore. Annabeth, Grover, and Thalia realized that Percy is gone and they went outside to find him. They saw Percy battling the manticore. When they cant handle the manticore, Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, and some huntresses show up and start firing beaming arrows at the manticore. Then Annabeth jumped on the back of the manticore and start stabbing the its back by her dagger. The enraged manticore jumped off the cliff bringing Annabeth. Percy ran to the edge of the cliff and try to jump after Annabeth but Bianca hold him off. The huntresses told Percy that she was gone because she would never survive the fall.

Complication After what just happen Artemis and her group started camp to pass the night. Artemis invited Bianca inside the tent. Artemis talks to her about joining the other huntresses. Bianca was convinced by the privilages of being a huntress. Bianca accepted the offer of the goddess and join the Group. Percy was mad at Bianca for accepting the offer and for leaving Nico behind. When the night passed Artemis called upon her brother Apollo. She requested that Apollo could transfer her huntresses with Thalia, Grover, Percy and Nico. Zoe, Artemis best huntress, argues with the goddess. After convincing Zoe, Artemis split with her group saying she needs to capture a dangerous monster. Apollo accepted and invited all of them to step on his bus. Apollo asked Thalia to drive the bus. Thalia drove the bus and she wasnt a good driver so Percy and Thalia were arguing about her driving skills. After several minutes of panicking inside the bus they reach their destination, the Camp Half-Blood.

Crisis The day they were on the camp the oracle told them the prophecy. Five shall go west to the goddess in chains, One shall be lost in the land without rain, The Bane of Olympus shows the trail, Campers and Hunters combined prevail, The Titan's Curse must one withstand, And one shall perish by a parent's hand. After Zoe heard the Oracle she decided to bring one of her hunters, Bianca, Thalia, and Grover including Zoe herself. After hearing her decision, Percy was angry because he wasnt included in the team. In the morning, Percy was awakened by a Pegasus, Blackjack, he saved from luke. Blackjack told Percy that a sea creature is need of help. Percy was convinced and came with Blackjack. After Diving the sea, he saw a half-part cow, half-part snake. It was an Ophiotaurus. Percy didnt care what it was, he just save it from the shackles of the net and metal. After saving the Ophiotaurus, he called Blackjack and they went back to camp. Flying to Camp he saw Nico looking at the cabin of the huntresses. Percy flew down and ask Nico what was he doing. Nico told Percy that one of the hunters cant come so they were one short on the mission. Nico told Percy to come with the team on the mission to retrieve Artemis and to protect her sister. Percy was convinced and called Blackjack. Zoe, without bringing another one to the mission, convinced the other three to left the camp early. Percy brought BlackJack and follow the four on their way to retrieve Artemis before the meeting of the gods. They stop on and landed on a building and saw the team stop. Percy and Blackjack were resting until Dionysus, God of wine, shackled Percy and his Pegasus. They were arguing because Percy left camp and Dionysus was shackling Percy and his Pegasus. Once they finished arguing about the topic Dionysud was convinced and free Percy. They continue to follow the team. When they stop again Percy told Blackjack to stay because he will scout the area. Percy enter a dark room. He saw the genereal, Luke and the teacher/manticore. He heard the conversation and rushed to his friends telling about the plan of the general. At first his friends didnt belive him

but after they saw the large tiger charging them. They believed Percy and attacked the monster. After defeating the tiger Zoe told Percy to get the skin of the tiger. After the battle, Percy commanded Blackjack to return to camp.

Climax On their way to the Goddess they saw the Junkshop of the Gods in the middle of the desert. You cant pick something on the junkshop. Bianca didnt mind it. She picked a piece of a game for his brother. Then everyone was shocked when a Giant robot stands up and starts hitting them with a giant club. Percy saw an entrance on the foot leading to the main control of the robot. Bianca volunteered on entering the robots foot. She told Percy to give the piece of the game to his brother, Nico. Bianca starts to mess with the controls then robot started to hit everything. In the middle of the robots rampage it hit a live wire causing an electric shock throughout the whole body. When the robot fell they search for the remnant of Bianca. Percy didnt want to give up searching but Thalia convinced Percy that it is on the prophecy One shall be lost in the land without rain. When they were on their way they passed a dam and Percy saw Bessie following her. They left the dam and went to the seashore. Percy were after the man who knew the answer to every question. Zoe reminded Percy that he just got one question to ask. After meeting the man he questioned the him what the greatest source of energy was. The man pointed at Bessie and explained why. When Bessie was sacrificed in the sacred fire the one who sacrified it have an unimaginable power. Percy told Grover to take Bessie and bring it safely back to camp. Grover split up leaving Thalia, Percy, and Zoe on the quest. After that they hurried and went to the Goddess in chains, Artemis. When they were on their way to Mount Tamalpais, a lightning strike down and blew the car they were riding. Thalia was furious about his dad. When they reached the top they saw Annabeth and the goddess bearing the burden of the sky. They saw the general who should be carrying the burden. When the general saw Zoe, Zoe reveals the secret and admits that the general was her father. The four of them battle the general. Zoe was badly injured and Percy cant win, so he substitutes himself to carry the burden from the goddess. The goddess, Artemis fought the general, when the general was down on the area of the sky. Percy dropped the burden and it landed on the general thus returning the sky back to the general. The general was angry that he

didnt won. When they saw Zoe, she was already dying due to the injured. Percy try to find some ambrosia(healing herbs) but Thalia stopped her and said that it was on the prophecy And one shall perish by a parent's hand. Resolution When they rescued the goddess, she attend the meeting of the gods. In the meeting, the gods voted to kill or to let the children of the big three to live. There was a prophecy that when the children of the big three turn sixteen they will decide to preserve or to destroy Olympus. They were afraid that Thalia will destroy the Olympus, in the fact that Thalia will be turning sixteen the day after the meeting of the gods. Artemis requested to make Thalia a part of her group. Thalia accepted the offer gladly. So the gods voted to kill or to let Percy live. They voted to let Percy live. After the discussion the gods turned to human-sized and throw the grandest party you would ever see. Dionysus was in-charge of the foods and drinks.

Denouement When the party was over Percy called his mom and told her the summarize of everything that happened. Then he called his brother Tyson and told him that Annabeth was safe again. He and Annabeth came back to camp meeting with their friend Grover. He then discover that Nico was the son of hades.

III. Analysis and Evolution The book is easy to read because it has a small font and a big line spacing. The book was wonderful starting in the beginning. The book can really capture the attention of the reader. The Series is even better the book before was amazing also.

IV. Conclusion: I have read this book because I was catched in the series. In the first place I was just reading the 1st book. After that I was amazed and started reading the 2nd book for the book report, but I was even more impressed by the 3rd book so I did this book report about the 3rd book.
