Charnock Hospital, which has already created its unique identity in health care industry, has ventured into education in a big way. With our focus and background of providing high quality education combined with the medical capabilities, infrastructure and dynamics of Charnock Hospital, we are already conducting Hospital Management (under West Bengal University Of Health Science) and Nursing courses (under West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council) at separate units named Charnock School of Hospital Management and Charnock School Of Nursing. West Bengal is likely to see a 1,30,000 shortfall in skilled resources by 2015, claims a CII - PWC Skill Gap Study released in Kolkata. In healthcare, there would an additional requirement of 5,000 7,000 qualified MBBS/MD doctors, 20,000 30,000 qualified nurses and over 60,000 paramedical staff & allied health professionals. Thus CHI has come out with some unique courses to fulfil this gap by providing high quality education & creating right manpower force to cater the present and future requirements of this industry. Charnock Hospitals as a group is growing and has ambitious plans for the future. We hope to provide a good platform to candidates as well. We have shown Charnock Hospital as a group. Healthcare An Overview Health care is Indias largest service industry with revenue of $ 35 billion and is likely to double to $ 150 billion by 2018. Some organisations have partly met this opportunity by establishing multi-specialty and superspecialty hospitals to cater to the huge demand. Much more investments are in the pipeline to cater to this opportunity. In India, the health care sector currently employs more than 4 million people; and future manpower requirements are expected to double to 8 million. Current Scenario West Bengal is likely to see a 1,30,000 shortfall in skilled resources by 2015, claims a CII - PWC Skill Gap Study released in Kolkata. In healthcare, there would be an additional requirement of 5,000 - 7,000 qualified MBBS / MD doctors, 20,000 - 30,000 qualified nurses and over 60,000 paramedical staffs & allied health professionals. The bed to manpower ratio in hospitals is 1 Bed : 5 Employments. Background Charnock Hospital, a multi-specialty hospital, is the key promoter of this initiative. Coming from the healthcare industry, we are well aware of the nuances, the demand-supply gap between industry requirements and institutes that churn out such personnel. It is after experiencing first hand, how desperately healthcare industry needs quality personnel to fulfil this gap, thus CHI was formed. Our Proposal Charnock Healthcare Institute is a unique medical education institute, which will create quality manpower for all levels of healthcare delivery. As a hospital administrator, I personally felt this operating Charnock Hospital, so have all my fellow across all hospitals. Charnock Healthcare Institute is an solving this massive manpower crisis.

CHI was formed to impart quality education to those aspirants who seek a career in the healthcare space. It shall churn out high quality personnel for ALL streams in healthcare delivery space: Nursing, Paramedical, Administration all under one roof. Having received quality education globally and having experienced the best faculty and best facilities, I had a personal passion for creating an educational institution of global standards here in our own land. NURSING Scope & Opportunities The successful candidates may start their career as Staff Nurse in Public and Private Hospitals. After obtaining significant level of experience they become Ward Sister or Nursing Supervisor and Nursing Superintendent.
