FAST TRACK SELECTION SCHEME - 2013 Your Key to the FTSS Gateway!!!
Once you register for FTSS 2013, you are on your way to the FTSS Gateway. The FTSS selection process entails four steps of assessment: Phase I: Online Test Phase II: Group Discussion and Power Interview Phase III: Assessment Centre Phase IV: Meeting with the Executive Committee Members The following summary presents an overview of the assessment process and focuses on the first phase, that is, the Online Test.

PHASE I
Phase I has two papers: - Paper 1: Aptitude Test - Paper 2: Functional Test Phase - I is a computer based online test. All participants need to compulsorily attempt 2 papers. - All questions are multiple choice answers - There is one negative mark for every four wrong responses given - You would have 2 hours to complete paper 1 and 1.5 hours to complete paper 2. There is no section specific time limit. - There would be a sectional cut off / percentile point defined for paper 1 and paper 2 respectively. This would determine the overall cut off for phase I You will receive your individual scores at the end of Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively You would receive your section specific scores within a months time from the online test

PAPER 1
This is an Aptitude Test with 120 questions and divided into three sections. - Quantitative Technique (30 questions) - Language Comprehension (60 questions) - Logical Reasoning (30 questions) Duration: 2 hours Scoring Pattern: There would be an overall percentile point defined as the cut off for Paper 1

PAPER 2
This is a Functional Test with 80 questions and divided into two sections: - Functional Appreciation (50 questions) o Operations ( 12 questions) o Commercial ( 12 questions) o General Management ( 26 questions) - General Knowledge (30 questions)

FAST TRACK SELECTION SCHEME - 2013 Your Key to the FTSS Gateway!!!

The questions would be randomized and all candidates would need to respond to all questions, regardless of the scheme that one may have opted for, that is, even though you may choose to opt for one of the schemes (OMS / CMS / ESS), you would still need to respond to all questions. - You would be scored on the scheme that you opt for - In case you opt for the ESS scheme, you would be scored on all sections - You will receive your score at the end of paper 2 which would be a function of your overall paper 2 score and your scheme specific score. Duration: 1.5 hours Scoring Pattern: There would be an overall cut off / threshold point defined for Paper 2. - You would need to meet/exceed this basic criterion - Over and above this, you would need to meet / exceed the cut off defined for the specific scheme that you may have opted for , that is OMS / CMS/ESS - You score in the scheme that you have not opted for, will not affect your overall positioning in phase I - In the case of ESS, the candidate would need to meet / exceed the ESS specific defined cut off based on the entire paper

For example, if the overall cut off for paper 2 is defined at the 30th percentile and the individual schemes as OMS 40th percentile; CMS 40th Percentile and ESS 60th percentile Candidate X has opted for the CMS scheme. - Overall score : 50th percentile first level eligibility met - OMS specific score : 65th percentile - CMS specific score : 35th percentile - This candidate will not be selected as he has not met the CMS specific criterion Candidate R has opted for the OMS & CMS scheme. - Overall score : 50th percentile first level eligibility met - OMS specific score : 55th percentile - CMS specific score : 45th percentile - This candidate will be selected to proceed to the next phase as has met the OMS and CMS specific criterion

These percentiles are only for the purpose of serving as an illustration and do not bear any linkage to the actual cut off for the tests. The final cut off would be decided upon based on various factors including the overall performance of all candidates at the test.
