A
fancy
word
for
range.
Tutti:
All
together
now!
Bassline/Accompaniment
Business
Alberti
bass:
Specific
pattern
for
arpeggiating
chords:
low-high-middle-high.
Ostinato:
A
repeated
rhythm
or
pitch/interval
pattern,
frequently
in
the
lower/bass
voice(s).
Walking
bass:
A
bassline
that
steadily
walks
along,
regardless
of
what
the
other
voices
are
doing.
Chordal
accompaniment:
Accompaniment
in
which
the
melody
is
supported
by
blocked
or
broken
chords.
Chordal
homophony/chordal
texture:
Chorale-style
writing
in
which
melody
and
accompaniment
move
with
the
same
rhythm
(homorhythmic).
