A tree fell on a moving auto on G Block 10th Street, East Anna Nagar, at 2.30 p.m on Aug. 13, partially crushing it and causing a minor injury to the lone passenger in it. The driver escaped unhurt. Naveen Dev, a student of Law College, helped the occupants of the auto in getting out and called the police. The auto was freed later after removing the tree.

He was advised to write a strongly worded letter to Vodaphone, claiming relief and compensation, with a copy made to the Cell. Rajkumar, in a letter to the Cell, has stated that his cell phone connection got reactivated soon after he sent the notice to Vodaphone. He thanked the Cell for its free advice and guidance. Sir, Garden waste is left to accumulate in front of houses on the streets of K Block, East Anna Nagar. Chennai Corporation lorries rarely visit these streets to clear the waste, and even if they do, the workers demand hundreds of rupees to clear the waste. If money is not paid, they leave without clearing it. The accumulated garden waste leads to mosquito menace and bad smell. I therefore request the Corporation supervisor to visit these streets at least once in 10 days to make sure the waste is removed.
