Definition of suicide Suicide is defined as the intentional taking of ones own life. In European languages, suicide means self-murder.

Until the end of the twentieth century, approximately, suicide is considered as a criminal act. in addition the legal terminology used the phrase "felo-de-se" to explain the meaning of the word suicide, which means a crime against the self. Now, I will further explain the three terms which relate to this action, namely suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, and suicide.

These three terms are interrelated. Suicidal behavior exists along a continuum from thinking about ending ones life (suicidal ideation), to developing a plan, to non-fatal suicidal behavior (suicide attempt), to ending ones life (suicide).

The signs and symptoms for suicide these are the warning signs that an individual has when he or she is imminently planning to kill themselves may include person making a will, suddenly visiting friend or family members (one last time), talking about going away or need to get my affairs in order, and suddenly changing behavior especially cheerful after a period of depression. Besides, others behavior will also change, like lack of concentration in work, school or everyday activities, such as household chores. Some individuals will perform self-destructive behaviors, such as heavily drinking alcohol, consuming illegal drugs, or doing something that will hurt themselves like cutting their body. Hence, there are a lots of symptoms which an individual may have the intention to commit suicide. Besides that, they will also change in personality (the individual may exhibit unusual signs of fatigue, indecisiveness or anxiousness), sleeping patterns (oversleeping, insomnia and other types of sleep disturbances) and eating habits (loss of appetite or an increased appetite; other changes can include increased or decreased weight). Low self-esteem is also a symptom of suicide which can be exhibited through emotions such as shame, inferiority or self-hatred. Low selfesteem led them lack of hope for the future. They feel that there is no hope for their future and the problems face by them will never be improved.

The persons who plan to commit suicide will talk about dying. But contrary to popular belief, many people who commit suicide do not tell their therapist or any other mental-health professional they plan to kill themselves in the months before they do so. If they communicate their plan to anyone, it is more likely to be someone with whom they are personally close, like a friend or family member. They will give some verbal hints with statements such as: I wont be a problem for you much longer. Nothing matters. Its no use. I wont see you again.
