HLCM Erection the U-Shape Beam for Metro Project

Project Destination: Shanghai, 2011 On Jul 26th 2011, Wenzhou Heli Construction Machinery Co., Ltd ( Here after named HLCM) together with Shanghai Mechanized Construction Co., Ltd ( hereafter named SMCC) demonstrated the Metro U-shape Beamerection system at the working site of Shanghai Metro line 16, HLCMpresenting the whole erection process, which includes the Beam transport trolley, Gantry crane and Launching gantry, etc.

U beam technology The U beam technology was succeed apply to SHANGHAI METRO CONSTRCUTION since 2007, This technology can lower the height of flyover and the U beam shaped as the open top Tunnel, the side wall can screen out the noise of trains significantly. The Shanghai Metro line 16# total length is in 7.66km which include 422Pcs precast beams. The precast concrete beam is in U shape with span range from 25m to 35m, max weight is 204 tons. The lot 8 is in complicate construction condition which is crossing many arterial roads and rivers.

Fig1.U-shape beam lifting by Gantry crane All the precast beam will transport by the truck to the fixed lifting position of working site, where there are two gantry cranes is used to lifting the beam to the bridge approach and load on the special girder transport trolley.

Fig3. Load the U-shape beam on the Beam transport trolley. The girder transport trolley is running on the fixed rail, which will carry the girders and feed into the launching gantry from the rear side.

(Model:QLM60+60-22/15; QLM60+60-40/23) B. 2 sets beam transport trolley; (Model: YPC220t) C. 1 set Launching gantry, rated load in220 tons. (Model: JQ220t-35m) Erection progress: 1. Lifting the U-shape beam by 2sets gantry crane(span in 22m) from the bottom of the bridge; 2.Load the beam on the beam transport trolley over the bridge as shown in fig.3 3. Moving the U-shape beam forward by the beam transport trolley and feed the beam below the launching gantry. 4. Place the U-shape beam in position by the launching gantry as shown in Fig5. The launching gantry is easy foroperation which can place 4 PCS beams per day and cost 4 hours to launching from one pier to next pier. The support leg of the launching gantry is adjustable to satisfy erecting the girders of various spans.
