Experience: 15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a Postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Or 10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a Postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or international Organization. Number of Publications: The applicants must have 15 research publications (with at least 05 publications in last 05 years) in the journals recognized by HEC. S# Subject/Department/Institution Nature of Number Posts of Posts 2Associate Professor (BPS-20), Department of Permanent 01 Regional Studies Qualifications: Ph.D in the relevant field (Central Asian Studies, South Asian Studies, Middle East/ South West Asian Studies) from an HEC recognized University/Institution. Experience: 10-years teaching/research in an HEC recognized university or a Postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR 05years Post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Number of Publications: The applicants must have 10 publications (with at least 04 publications in last 5 years) in the journals recognized by HEC. First Class Masters degree (B-Grade) or Second Class Masters degree with M.Phil. or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from an HEC recognized university / institution. Provided that the candidate holding higher degree viz. M.Phil / Ph.D. or equivalent but with only one 3rd division in the entire academic career shall also be eligible. Provided further that benefit of higher degrees viz. M.Phil/Ph.D or equivalent shall not be allowed to the candidates who are eligible on the basis of higher qualification. Candidates are required to submit their application forms along with photocopies of complete documents duly attested i.e. one recent passport size photograph. National identity Card 9NADRA0, educational Testimonials, Domicile and Experience/ Service Certificates etc. with a receipt of national Bank of Pakistan. University Campus Branch or Bank Draft (non-refundable) of Rs. 6000/- in favour of the Treasure, university of Peshawar. The same should reach the Meetings Section on or before 10th February, 2012. The applicants for the post(s) of Professor and Associate Professor should also submit the following: 1) Four Copies of the list of research publications showing names of publications and journals 2) Four sets of reprints of the publications 3) Four copies of complete bio-data and 4) A Bank receipt of United Bank Limited.
